Dosagem dos níveis séricos de citocinas em pacientes com neoplasia intra-epitelial cervival grau II e III tratados com Interferon perguilado 2-B

Immunotherapy in cancer patients is a very promising treatment and the development of new protocols and the study of the mechanisms of regression is a reality. Interferons (IFNs) are glycoproteins that belong to the family of cytokines, which have an important antiviral, antitumor, immunomodulatory and antiangiogenic activities. The objective of this study was to determine which immunological profile (Th1 or Th2) could be involved in high-grade cervical lesions (CIN II / CIN III) through the serial dosing of cytokines by the Elisa method collected from peripheral blood samples in patients during a six weekly treatment with subcutaneously administered Pegylate 2-b IFN. The profile of the responses were analyzed in three blood samples and the cytokines of IL-1ᵦ, IL-2, IL-4, TNF-α I N-γ IL-10, IL-12, TGF-beta , IL-12. The analyzed groups were divided into good and bad response and were compared using non-parametric methods using the Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon Matched Paires test and Kruskal-Wallis test by GraphPad Prism 6® software, and the values observed for significance with P less than 0.05 (p <0.05). The results show that in the regression group the patients presented a increase in the amount of IFN-γ w =0,0123. On the other side, also showed an increase of IL-6, IL-10 and TGF (Th2 profile) in the group without a responde. In the general sample (n = 17), there was a 47% regression of high-grade lesions. Concluded that the regression of the lesions depends on the immunological profile of each patient as well as the change in the immune response to a Th1 profile.
