Sexual violence against children and adolescents brings several losses to the children and teenage healthy development, with devastating consequences through the view of the victim himself as individual and the society as a whole. In this context, this study aims to describe juvenile sexual violence occurrences reported in the Guardian Council of Uberaba, Minas Gerais, during the biennium 2008-2009. This descriptive, exploratory and retrospective study. 1858 records were analyzed, 45 from them were selected. It had been noticed family is the major source of juvenile sexual violence. Among this group, in 17.8% the aggressors were family members and in 26.7% they were the parents themselves.The most frequent victim was from female gender and 71.1% of cases occurred in their family residences. The sexual violence cases were more frequent in the age group of 12 to 14 years (37.8%). There was a predominance of male offenders (82.2%) aging from 30 to 39 years (6.7%). A family member was accuser in 26.7% of cases of complaint. It could be verified the majority of juvenile sexual violence occured mainly within the familiar residence and the offender were parents or other family members, the same who should protect their infants. Therefore, there are uncountable harms this type of violence triggers, not only individually but also collectively, demanding the development of actions to protect children and teenagers from this violence, aiming to contribute to the elaboration of Public Policies guiding the prevention and battle against Sexual Violence against children and adolescents, taking in account the crucial need of integration among several layers of the society, such as Public Health, Education, Justice and Security, as well the Civil Society Organizations.
