Resumo: This study aims to investigate how the constitution of the child in consumer addressing the following assumptions: through the family teachings or television can realize the greatest preponderance of one or the other? For the production of the corpus were mobilized conceptions of Carl Ginzburg´s (1999) clues research, the investigative sociology of Pierre Bourdieu and Passeron Chaboredon (2007) and abstract empiricism Wright Mills (2010). These thinkers converge towards privileging a union between science and empiricism. This was the central concern in the construction of the research, which is: to combine sociological method with empiricism to analyze how eight families think and act with respect to consumption. Mainly interested in analyzing how they see the consumer society and fundamentally ago, these families, practices and way collaborating or not for their children to gradually have the perception of what being a consumer in today\'s society. Still: what is the role of television in the formation of these children into consumers. This research sought to find out what are the characteristics that the child himself falls as prospect of being a consumer. Their wants and desires that may show the influence of teachings and consumer perceptions that operates this subject and the conditions to be a social actor in our world of consumption. Analyses were grounded in habitus theory of Pierre Bourdieu (2008), which exemplifies customs and values that give meaning to how and why individuals consume, and liquidity of the theory in the contemporary world of Bauman (2008). Liquidity, according to this author, determines the contemporary life of intensive flow, the speed and the sense that everything in society is diluted intensively. This term social fluidity is Bauman noted that the modern era individuals behave as a commodity which must be seen and appreciated before it can be consumed. From these goals and theoretical and methodological bases interviews were analyzed (semi-structured) carried out with eight families in the city of Uberaba-MG. The children of these families were at the time of the survey, aged between 7:10 years old. In short, this study focuses on the practices, values, attitudes and feelings that define the parents and especially the children as consumers in the world of contemporary consumption.

Ou é a televisão que apresenta maior preponderância na formação da criança em consumidor. Para a produção do corpus foram mobilizadas as concepções da pesquisa indiciária de Carl Ginzburg (1999), a sociologia investigativa de Pierre Bourdieu, Chaboredon e Passeron (2007) e o empirismo abstrato de Wright Mills (2010). Estes pensadores convergem no sentido de privilegiarem um diálogo entre a ciência e empirismo. Esta foi a preocupação central na construção da pesquisa, qual seja: aliar o método sociológico com o empirismo para analisar como as famílias, participantes desta pesquisa, pensam e agem com relação ao consumo. Interessava analisar como veem a sociedade do consumo e se fundamentalmente há, nestas famílias, práticas e sentidos que colaboram ou não para que seus filhos tenham gradativamente a percepção do que é ser um consumidor na sociedade atual. Analisar qual o papel da televisão na formação destas crianças em consumidores. Esta pesquisa procurou saber quais são as características que a própria criança releva como perspectiva de ser um consumidor. As suas vontades e desejos que podem evidenciar qual a influência de ensinamentos e percepções de consumo que atuam nos sujeitos e os condicionam a ser atores sociai no nosso mundo do consumo. As análises foram alicerçadas na teoria do habitus de Pierre Bourdieu (2008), que exemplifica costumes e valores que dão sentido ao como e porque os indivíduos consomem, e na teoria da liquidez no mundo contemporâneo, de Bauman (2008). Liquidez que, de acordo com esse autor, determina a vida contemporânea da fluidez, da rapidez e do sentido que tudo, na sociedade, se dilui de forma intensa. Nesta fluidez social que Bauman observou que os indivíduos da era moderna se comportam tal como uma mercadoria que precisa ser vista e apreciada para que possa ser consumida. A partir desses objetivos e bases teórico-metodológicas foram analisadas as entrevistas (semiestruturadas) realizadas com oito famílias da cidade de Uberaba-MG. As crianças dessas famílias estavam, no momento da pesquisa, na faixa etária entre 07 e 10 anos.
