Resumo: Considering that the textbook is the main tool used in the classroom in public schools and of great importance in the dissemination of content for student teaching and learning, we were interested in understanding how other types of agriculture, such as agroecology are treated in textbooks. science. Thus, the present research aims to analyze the speeches about agroecology in the textbooks of Sciences, of the 6th year - Elementary School, approved by PNLD 2017. We use the analysis of the speech to treat the data of the three most chosen textbooks by the schools of the Municipality of Uberlândia - MG. With the analyzes, we verified in the texts and images the massive presence of the discourse of a model of conventional agriculture and the omission of the existence of a sustainable agriculture and of an agroecological model. One of the collections, however, in addition to valuing conventional agriculture, stood out for having dedicated a page to address the theme of sustainable agriculture and for presenting its readers with an agroecological model, agroforestry.

Assim, a presente pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar os discursos sobre a agroecologia nos livros didáticos de Ciências do 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental, aprovados pelo PNLD 2017. Utilizamos a análise do discurso para tratar os dados dos três livros didáticos mais escolhidos pelas escolas do Município de Uberlândia – MG. Com as análises, verificamos nos textos e nas imagens a presença massiva do discurso de um modelo de agricultura convencional e a omissão da existência de uma agricultura sustentável e de modelo agroecológico. Uma das coleções, entretanto, além de valorizar a agricultura convencional, se destacou por ter destinado uma página para abordar a temática da agricultura sustentável e, por apresentar a seus leitores um modelo agroecológico, o agroflorestal.
