Resumo: The present work, performed in the Tarumã farm, which belongs to the Florestal Vale do Ribeira company, located in the city of Cerro Azul, in the state of Paraná, aimed to carry out a technical and economical evaluation of the use of aerial cables in the forest harvest in mountain regions. Three equipments were evaluated: the aerial cables of the Austrian brand Koller, models K300, K501 and K601. In the technical evaluation, a study on the times and movements was carried out, with the objective of identifying the elements of the operational cycle, as well as the time of each. The productivity, mechanical availability and the operational efficiency were estimated. In the economic evaluation, the operational and production costs were calculated. Later, it was performed the analysis of sensitivity of the most relevant variables which made the total cost of the extraction. In the study of times and movements, the activity that demanded more time in the three aerial cables was to tie the chockers, with a percentage in relation to the total time of 45,20% for the aerial cable K300, 40,11% for the K501 and 41,88% for the K601. The highest productivity was observed in the aerial cable K501, with 18,54 m³/h, followed by the aerial cable K601 with 16,61 m³/h and, finally, the aerial cable K300, with14,84 m³/h. The mechanical availability was 95,17% in the three aerial cables, since all of them presented the same average of time of permanence in maintenance. The highest operational efficiency was verified in the aerial cable K601, with a percentage of 76,62%; in second place, the aerial cable K501, with 74,62%; and, finally, the aerial cable K300, with an operational efficiency of 63,25%. The lowest operational cost was that of the aerial cable K300, with R$99,02/ha, followed by the aerial cable K501, with R$123,27/ha; and, finally, of the aerial cable K601, with R$160,95/ha. However, when the cost per cubic meter was achieved, the K501 presented the lowest cost (R$6,65/m³), followed by K300, with a cost of R$6,67/m³; and the highest cost of extraction was verified in the K601, R$9,68/m³. In the analysis of sensitivity, it was verified that in the three aerial cables the distribution of the variables analyzed were alike. Therefore, it was concluded that in the technical evaluation, the highest productivity was that of the aerial cable K501, with an average of 18,54 m³/h of extracted wood; the mechanical availability was 95,17% in the three aerial cables; the highest operational efficiency was that of the aerial cable K601, with 76,62%; and, in the study of times and movements, the activity that demanded more time in the three aerial cables was to tie chockers. In the economic evaluation, the lowest total operational cost was R$99,02 per effective hour, observed in the aerial cable K300, while the lowest extraction cost was observed in the aerial cable K501, whose value was R$6,65/m³; and, finally, in the analysis of sensitivity, the most influential variable for the extraction cost wasthe average extraction productivity.

Foram avaliados três equipamentos, os cabos aéreos da marca austríaca Koller, modelos K300, K501 e K601. Na avaliação técnica, fez-se o estudo de tempos e movimentos, com o intuito de identificar os elementos do ciclo operacional, bem como o tempo de cada um. Também, foram estimados a produtividade, a disponibilidade mecânica e a eficiência operacional. Na avaliação econômica foram calculados os custos operacionais e os custos de produção, sendo posteriormente realizada a análise de sensibilidade das variáveis mais relevantes que compuseram o custo total de extração. No estudo de tempos e movimentos, a atividade que mais demandou tempo nos três cabos aéreos foi a de amarrar chockers, com uma porcentagem em relação ao tempo total de 45,20% para o cabo aéreo K300, 40,11% para o K501 e 41,88% para o K601. A maior produtividade foi observada no cabo aéreo K501 com 18,54 m³/h, seguido do cabo aéreo K601 com 16,61 m³/h e, por último, do cabo aéreo K300 com 14,84 m³/h. A disponibilidade mecânica foi de 95,17% para os três cabos aéreos, pois todos apresentaram a mesma média de tempo de permanência em manutenção. A maior eficiência operacional foi verificada no cabo aéreo K601, com uma porcentagem de 76,62%; depois, em segundo lugar, no cabo aéreo K501 com 74,62% e, por último, no cabo aéreo K300, com eficiência operacional de 63,25%. O menor custo operacional foi do cabo aéreo K300 com R$99,02/he, seguido do cabo aéreo K501 com R$123,27/he e por último, do K601 com R$160,95/he. Porém, quando se considera o custo por metro cúbico extraído, o K501 apresentou o menor custo (R$6,65/m³), seguido do K300, com um custo de R$6,67/m³; e o maior custo de extração R$9,68/m³ foi verificado no K601. Na análise de sensibilidade, constatou-se que nos três cabos aéreos a distribuição das variáveis analisadas foi igual. Diante disso, concluiu-se que na avaliação técnica a maior produtividade foi do cabo aéreo K501, com uma média de 18,54m³/h de madeira extraída; a disponibilidade mecânica foi de 95,17% nos três cabos aéreos; a maior eficiência operacional foi do cabo aéreo K601, com 76,62%; e no estudo de tempos e movimentos a atividade que mais demandou tempo nos três cabos aéreos foi a atividade de amarrar chockers.
