In teaching botany, the contents are approached on the appreciation use of scientific terms, decontextualized becoming distant from the everyday. Such fact does not allow students they see the plants so important how to beings, causing them a distorted view of the same. Face of these observations and other situations, there was a high level of demotivation of the students to learn and even to the teachers to teach this discipline so essential. So from these premises the research aimed to develop the study of botany in relation to concepts, evolution and classification of plant groups by applying a sequence of activities involving the students dynamically and constructive manner. The research involved the participation of 13 students of 2nd year and 10 students of the 3rd year of high school of a private school institution. We use the qualitative method to obtain data that formed by transcripts of questionnaires and conducted interviews. After analysis of results, we conclude that the methodology has contributed effectively in the construction of new knowledge by altering thus the misperception about the plants.
