Resumo: The objective of this work was to make the Chapadao Basin an Experimental Hydrographic Basin for the development of studies related to water and environmental studies. In a specific way, the characterization of the rain-runoff relation was carried out and the relationship of the erosivity of the rains with the production of sediments was analyzed. It was carried out the physiographic characterization of the basin and its instrumentation, with the installation of a fluviometric station in the control section. From December 2017 to October 2018, flow velocity and water level data were collected for the construction of the key curve of the monitoring section, as well as the Suspended Solids Concentration (CSS) data, which allowed the elaboration of a sediment discharge curve to determine the total mass of suspended solids carried in erosive events of the studied period. For some classified erosive events, the runoff coefficient values by an analogy to the Lloyd-Davies method were verified and the SCS Curve Number Method was applied. The values found for the runoff coefficient were in the range of 0.01 to 0.57 and its behavior could be directly related to precipitation of the event and soil moisture conditions. The Curve Number Method indicated that the soil in the region has a high infiltration potential, CN and potential infiltration values, for the Antecedent Moisture Conditions AMC I, AMC II and AMC III were respectively, 22.23 and 888.6mm; 44.60 and 315.5mm, 60.18 and 168.1mm. The comparison of the methods of obtaining the superficial flow showed that the Hydrograph Method is the most indicated for the studied area. The relationship between the MSST and the rainfall erosivity analyzed returned an interesting value of the soil erodibility in the region, although more studies are necessary in regard to this matter.

The relationship between the MSST and the rainfall erosivity analyzed returned an interesting value of the soil erodibility in the region, although more studies are necessary in regard to this matter.Objetivou-se com este trabalho fazer a caracterização hidrológica e hidrossedimentológica da Bacia Hidrográfica do Córrego do Chapadão (BHCC), fazendo desta uma Bacia Hidrográfica Experimental para desenvolvimento de trabalhos relativos aos estudos de recursos hídricos e ambientais. De maneira específica, foi realizada a caracterização da relação chuva-deflúvio e analisado a relação da erosividade das chuvas com a produção de sedimentos. Foi realizada a caracterização fisiográfica da bacia hidrográfica e sua instrumentação, com a instalação de uma estação fluviométrica na seção de controle, exutório da bacia. De dezembro de 2017 a outubro de 2018 coletou-se dados de velocidade de escoamento e nível d'água para a construção da curva-chave da seção de monitoramento, bem como os dados de Concentração de Sólidos Suspensos (CSS), que permitiram elaborar uma curva de descarga de sedimentos para determinação da Massa Total de Sólidos Suspensos (MSST) carreados em eventos erosivos do período estudado. Para alguns eventos erosivos classificados verificaram-se os valores de coeficiente runoff por uma analogia ao Método Racional e aplicou-se também o Método do Curva-Número. Os valores encontrados para o coeficiente de escoamento superficial foram de 0,01 a 0,57 e seu comportamento pôde ser relacionado diretamente à precipitação do evento e as condições de umidade do solo. O Método do Curva-Número indicou que o solo na região possui elevado potencial de infiltração. Os valores de CN e da infiltração potencial para as condições de umidade antecedente do solo AMC I, AMC II e AMC III foram respectivamente, 22,23 e 888,6mm; 44,60 e 315,5mm, 60,18 e 168,1mm. A comparação da lâmina escoada por diferentes métodos mostraram que o Hidrograma é o mais indicado para a área estudada.
