Resumo: Current researches have demonstrated that resistance training results in a variety of benefits to improve the quality of life, health, athletic performance and physical rehabilitation. Among the various training methods, the resistance training until the concentric failure is the one that has increased in recent years. The concentric failure indicates that the limit of repetitions for that load was reached. Thus, it is necessary a recovery interval for the realization of a new series. However, studies that compare the influence of different recovery intervals between series in this training method are scarce. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of two different recovery intervals between series (1 and 3 minutes) during the realization of a protocol of resisted exercises until concentric failure in soccer athletes. A randomized clinical trial was carried out with male football athletes from the category under - 20. Twenty-four men filled the inclusion requirements in this study, being twelve in each group. The first group performed the training protocol with 1 minute of interval (G1), while the second group with 3 minutes of interval between series (G3). The training program with resisted exercises until the concentric failure (75% of RM) lasted three weeks and one week of regenerative training (40% of RM). Furthermore, the frequency was three times a week with a minimum interval of 48 hours between sessions. The order of the training was chair extender, table flexor, leg press and squat. Three series of each exercise were carried out with their intervals and, only after the three series in the same exercise, the sequence was executed in the next exercise. Participants were evaluated through functional performance tests (Single/Triple Hop test and Vertical Jump); Electromyographic signal (RMS) through the maximum voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) of the muscles rectus femoris, vastus medialis, vastus medialis, semitendinosus and biceps femoris; Peak Torque relativized by the body through the isokinetic dynamometry of the extensor muscles and knee flexors at the speed of 60º/second; Total number of repetitions during the training period until the concentric failure and the one repetition maximum test (1 RM) pre and post intervention. To compare the results, it was used the value of delta (∆) obtained from the comparison between the pre and post training values (post-value minus the pre-value = delta value). When it was observed normality of the data, these were analyzed by the T test. In contrast, it was used the Mann-Whitney test (intergroup) or Wilcoxon test (intragroup) for data that presented non-normal distribution. In addition, it was considered the significance level of p < 0,05. According to the results there was significant difference between the two groups for the RMS values of the electromyography; relative peak Torque in the evaluation by Isokinetic dynamometry, the total number of repetitions and the test of 1 repetition maximum. The experimental group of 3 minutes interval presented Δ values higher than the values of the group with 1 minute interval. No significant differences were found for the functional performance tests Single/Triple Hop test and Vertical Jump. In conclusion, the resistance training until the concentric failure with recovery intervals of three minutes between series are effective for increasing the total volume of training, muscle torque and activation of motor units when compared to training with one minute interval between the series.

Dentre os diversos métodos de treinamento o que mais vem crescendo nos últimos anos é o treinamento resistido até a falha concêntrica. A falha concêntrica indica que o limite de repetições para aquela carga foi alcançado, sendo necessário um intervalo de recuperação para a realização de uma nova série. Porém são escassos os estudos que comparem a influência dos diferentes intervalos de recuperação entre séries neste método de treinamento. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito de dois diferentes intervalos de recuperação entre séries (1 e 3 minutos) durante a realização de um protocolo de exercícios resistidos até falha concêntrica em atletas de futebol. Foi realizado um estudo clínico randomizado com atletas de futebol do sexo masculino da categoria sub 20. Preencheram os requisitos de inclusão no estudo 24 homens, sendo doze em cada grupo. O primeiro grupo realizou o protocolo de treinamento com 1 minuto de intervalo (G1), enquanto o segundo grupo com 3 minutos de intervalo entre séries (G3). O programa de treinamento com exercícios resistidos até a falha concêntrica (75% do RM) teve duração de três semanas mais uma semana de treinamento regenerativo (40% do RM) e frequência de três vezes por semana com intervalo mínimo de 48 horas entre as sessões. A ordem do treinamento foi cadeira extensora, mesa flexora, leg press e agachamento. Realizaram-se três séries de cada exercício com os respectivos intervalos e, somente após as três séries no mesmo exercício, executava-se a sequência no exercício posterior. Os participantes foram avaliados através dos testes de desempenho funcional (Single/Triple Hop Test e Vertical Jump); Sinal eletromiográfico (RMS) através da contração isométrica voluntária máxima (CIVM) dos músculos reto femoral, vasto medial, vasto lateral, semitendinoso e bíceps femoral; Pico de torque relativizado pelo corporal através da dinamometria isocinética dos músculos extensores e flexores do joelho na velocidade de 60º/segundo; Número total de repetições durante o período de treinamento até a falha concêntrica e teste de repetição máxima (1 RM) pré e pós-intervenção. Para comparação dos resultados, utilizamos o valor de delta (∆) obtido da comparação entre os valores pré e pós-treinamento (onde valor-pós menos o valor-pré = valor delta). Quando foi observada normalidade dos dados os mesmos foram analisados pelo teste t, em contrapartida, para os dados que apresentaram distribuição não normal foi utilizado o teste de Mann-Whitney (intergrupo) ou o teste de Wilcoxon (intragrupo). Foi considerado nível de significância de p < 0,05. De acordo com os resultados houve diferença significativa entre os dois grupos para os valores de RMS da eletromiografia; pico de torque relativo na avaliação por dinamometria isocinética, do número total de repetições e do teste de 1 repetição máxima, sendo que o grupo experimental de 3 minutos apresentou valores de Δ superiores aos valores do grupo de 1 minuto de intervalo. Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas para os testes de desempenho funcional Single/Triple Hop Test e Vertical Jump. Podemos concluir que o treinamento resistido até a falha concêntrica com intervalos de recuperação entre as séries de três minutos são eficazes para o aumento do volume total de treinamento, torque muscular e ativação de unidades motoras quando comparados ao treinamento com um minuto de intervalo entre as séries.application/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em EnfermagemUNIFAL-MGBrasilEscola de Enfermageminfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Educação Física e TreinamentoDescansoReabilitaçãoCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONALEfeito dos intervalos de recuperação entre séries de 1 e 3 minutos em exercícios resistidos até falha concêntrica em atletas de futebol da categoria sub 20: ensaio clínico randomizadoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion-3204580530536360493600600-4563701660031038789reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALMassahud, Anderson RanieriLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
