Resumo: As a result of the urbanization process, the waterproofing of areas contributes to the aggravation of flooding and inudation in urban areas through the increase of flows and drained volumes, causing socio-environmental problems in urban watersheds. In order to study the behavior of urban drainage related to precipitation events, hydrological models are used within the watershed. Thus, the present work aims to apply the SWMM model in the sub-watershed of the Vai e Volta stream, located in the city of Poços de Caldas-MG, in order to portray the hydrological behavior of the urban watershed and contribute to decision-making tool in management and rainwater management in the city. The characterization of the watershed under study, the fluvio-pluviometric monitoring, as well as the sensitivity analysis and manual calibration of the rain-flow model were performed using the Storm Water Management Model - SWMM software. It was observed that the most sensitive parameters to the model are: the impermeable area of the sub-areas (AI), the roughness coefficient relative to the portions of the impermeable sub-areas (n-imperv), the width of the sub-areas (W) and, to a lesser extent, the slope of the sub-areas (S). In the calibration and model validation processes the results obtained related to the mean Nash-Sutcliffe (NSE) coefficients are 0.73 and 0.79, respectively, and errors in peak flow and mean flow are less than 15%. The results show a satisfactory performance of the SWMM hydrological model in the representation of the Vai and Volta stream subwatershed. It is expected through hydrological modeling to contribute to the development of studies on sustainable urban drainage.

It is expected through hydrological modeling to contribute to the development of studies on sustainable urban drainage.Resultante do processo de urbanização, a impermeabilização das áreas contribui para o agravamento de enchentes e inundações em meio urbano através do aumento das vazões e dos volumes escoados, ocasionando problemas socioambientais em bacias urbanas. Com o intuito de estudar o comportamento da drenagem urbana frente a eventos de precipitação, modelos hidrológicos são utilizados no âmbito da bacia hidrográfica. Deste modo, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo aplicar o modelo SWMM na sub-bacia do ribeirão Vai e Volta, localizada no município de Poços de Caldas-MG, de forma a retratar o comportamento hidrológico da bacia urbana e contribuir na tomada de decisões em gerenciamento e manejo de águas pluviais do município. Realizou-se a caracterização da bacia hidrográfica em estudo, o monitoramento fluvio-pluviométrico, bem como a análise de sensibilidade e a calibração manual do modelo de chuva-vazão no software Storm Water Management Model – SWMM. Observou-se que os parâmetros mais sensíveis ao modelo são: a área impermeável das sub-áreas (AI), o coeficiente de rugosidade relativo à parcelas das sub-áreas impermeáveis (n-imperv), a largura das sub-áreas (W) e, em menor grau, a declividade das sub-áreas (S). Nos processos de calibração e de validação do modelo obteve-se coeficientes de Nash-Sutcliffe (NSE) médios de 0,73 e 0,79, respectivamente, e erros da vazão de pico e do volume escoado médios inferiores a 15%. Os resultados sinalizam um desempenho satisfatório do modelo hidrológico SWMM na representação da sub-bacia do ribeirão Vai e Volta. Espera-se através da modelagem hidrológica contribuir no desenvolvimento de estudos sobre drenagem urbana sustentável.application/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciência e Engenharia AmbientalUNIFAL-MGBrasilInstituto de Ciência e Tecnologiainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Recursos hídricos.Drenagem urbana.Modelos hidrológicos.ENGENHARIA SANITARIA::RECURSOS HIDRICOSUtilização do software SWMM na modelagem hidrológica da sub-bacia do ribeirão Vai e Volta – Poços de Caldas/MGUse of SWMM software in the hydrological modeling of the Vai e Volta stream sub-watershed – Poços de Caldas/MGinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion-4297417259498638931600600162673199464443160reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALCavalcanti, Allana AbreuORIGINALDissertacao_AllanaAbreuCavalcanti_2020_PPGCEA.pdfDissertacao_AllanaAbreuCavalcanti_2020_PPGCEA.pdfapplication/pdf2068933https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/bitstreams/143a4408-e0ca-447a-9c44-3a40a71027f1/download1c2ae22b48651cb8d39b4c99987f7090MD55LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
