Resumo: The Kinesiotaping (KT) is a bandage technique developed in the 70's. The studies’ results about the KT use show inconsistent and controversial results with each other. Thus, it is necessary more researches that seek to consolidate the real effects of KT. The present study aimed to evaluate the influence of the tension and color of the KT applied on the rectus femoris muscle in healthy individuals before, during and after the practice of physical exercise and compare the effects of it to the effects of rigid bandage application. This study is a randomized and controlled clinical trial in realization at the Physiotherapy Clinic of the Federal University of Alfenas. The sample was composed of 60 healthy male volunteers aged between 18 and 35 years. These volunteers were divided by randomization in 6 groups, each one representing a color of KT that was studied (yellow, blue, beige, black, pink and green). Two evaluations were carried out on different days, with the first tension applied to the bandage of 15% and the second of 50%. In these evaluations, electromyographic data were collected in four moments, being E1, before the KT application; E2, immediately after KT application; E3, after the physical activity and E4, after 5 minutes of rest. The thermographic data were obtained in five moments: E1, before the KT application; E2, immediately after KT application; E3, during physical activity; E4, after physical activity and E5, after 5 minutes of rest. It was not observed, in the electromyography variable, statistical difference between the tension of 15% and 50%, between the bandages evaluated and between the colors that were studied. The results of the thermography were significant in relation to tensions 15 and 50%, between the colors of the KT and between the bandages. In conclusion, KT has not been able to increase or decrease the electromyographic activity as well as the rigid bandage. Furthermore, the temperature of the rectus femoris muscle has undergone changes in relation to the variables that were studied before, during and after the physical exercise.

Os resultados dos estudos advindos do uso da fita Kinesiotape (KT) apresentam resultados inconsistentes e controversos entre si. A partir daí surge a necessidade de mais pesquisas que busquem consolidar os reais efeitos da fita KT. O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a influência da tensão e da cor das fitas de KT aplicadas sobre o músculo reto da coxa em indivíduos saudáveis antes, durante e após a prática de exercício físico e comparar os efeitos da mesma aos efeitos da aplicação de bandagem rígida. Estudo clínico randomizado e controlado realizado na Clínica de Fisioterapia da Universidade Federal de Alfenas. A amostra contou com 60 voluntários do sexo masculino, saudáveis, com idade entre 18 e 35 anos. Tais voluntários foram divididos por aleatorização em 6 grupos, cada um representando uma cor estudada da KT (amarelo, azul, bege, preto, rosa e verde). Foi considerado como controle a aplicação da bandagem rígida no membro contralateral ao membro em que foi aplicada a KT. Foram realizadas duas avaliações em dias distintos, sendo a primeira com tensão aplicada na bandagem de 15% e a segunda 50%. Nestas avaliações foram coletados dados eletromiográficos em quatro momentos, sendo eles E1, antes da aplicação da KT; E2, imediatamente após aplicação da KT; E3, logo após a atividade física e E4, após 5 minutos de repouso. Os dados termográficos foram obtidos em cinco momentos: E1, antes da aplicação da KT; E2, imediatamente após aplicação da KT; E3, durante a atividade física; E4, logo após a atividade física e E5, após 5 minutos de repouso. Em relação aos achados eletromiográficos, não foi observada diferença estatística entre as tensões de 15% e 50%, entre as bandagens avaliadas e entre as cores estudadas. Os resultados da termografia foram significativos em relação às tensões 15 e 50%, entre as cores da fita KT e entre as bandagens. Sendo assim, conclui-se que a KT não foi capaz de aumentar ou diminuir a atividade eletromiográfica do músculo reto da coxa, apresentando resultados semelhantes à bandagem rígida. Contudo, promoveu alterações na temperatura muscular em antes, durante e depois do exercício físico.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-graduação em Ciências da ReabilitaçãoUNIFAL-MGBrasilInstituto de Ciências da Motricidadeinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ReabilitaçãoFita atléticaMúsculo quadrícepsCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONALA influência da kinesiotaping na atividade eletromiográfica e na temperatura do reto da coxainfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion-3982265566208295260600600600-45637016600310387892075167498588264571reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALNogueira, Paula CristinaORIGINALDissertação de eletromiográfica e na temperatura do reto da coxa.pdfDissertação de eletromiográfica e na temperatura do reto da coxa.pdfapplication/pdf1901518https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/bitstreams/e7ededa7-e647-4213-be3f-ad1ad59d559b/downloadaa27d866fc1455a96582a8219d83dfb2MD55LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
