Resumo: | The main goal of this work has been the preparation of glass samples based on sodium polyphosphate NaPO3 and tungsten oxide WO3 with high contents (60%) of lead fluoride PbF2 and doped with rare earth ions in order of obtaining transparent glass-ceramics containing lead fluoride nanocrystallites. Synthesis conditions such as melting time and melting temperature were improved for the formation of transparent, homogeneous and stable glasses with low fluorine loss during the melting process. Glass samples were obtained in this ternary system (40-x) NaPO3-xWO3-60PbF2 varying x of 14 to 34. Subsequently, these samples were characterized by DSC, in order to determine the characteristic temperatures and thermal stabilities. Furthermore, it was found that there is a linear relationship between the Tg and WO3 content in the sample. The XRD analyzes prove the non-crystalline state of the samples. A crystallization study identified the preferential crystallization of the cubic phase β- PbF2 with dominant volumetric crystallization and two-dimensional growth. The absorption measurements in the infrared confirmed the removal of OH groups with increasing PbF2 contents while the structural analysis by Raman spectroscopy allowed to determine the formation of W-O-W bridge connections with increasing WO3 content and the possibility of converting the WO6 octahedra in tetrahedrons WO4, responsible for glass formation. Luminescence measurements of Eu3+ in glasses and glass-ceramics obtained by heat treatment suggest migration of Eu3+ to the crystalline phase of β-PbF2 only for the most WO3 concentrated samples with a decreasing intensity of the hypersensitive emission 5D0 7F2 at 612 nm and increased lifetimes. Preliminary measurements of luminescence of Er3+ in vitreous samples doped Er3+/ Yb3+ enabled to determine a variation in ion luminescence properties with the degree of crystallinity of the samples. |

As condições de síntese como temperatura e tempo de fusão foram estudadas e otimizadas com o intuito de promover a formação de amostras homogêneas, transparentes e com baixa perda de fluoretos devido à sublimação durante o processo de fusão. Foram obtidas amostras vítreas no sistema ternário (40-x)NaPO3-xWO3-60PbF2 com x variando entre 14 e 34 % em mol. Posteriormente essas amostras foram caracterizadas por DSC para determinação das temperaturas características e estabilidade térmica. Além disso verificou-se que há uma relação linear da Tg com a quantidade de WO3 presente nas amostras. A análise de difração de raios X permitiu verificar o caráter não cristalino das amostras. Um estudo de cristalização indicou a cristalização preferencial da fase cristalina β- PbF2 com mecanismo de cristalização predominantemente volumétrico e crescimento bidimensional. As medidas de absorção no infravermelho confirmaram a remoção de grupos OH com aumento do teor de PbF2 enquanto a análise estrutural por espectroscopia Raman permitiu determinar a formação de ligações de ponte W-O-W com aumento do teor de WO3, além da possibilidade de conversão dos octaedros WO6 em tetraedros WO4, responsáveis da formação vítrea. Medidas de luminescência do Eu3+ em vidros e vitrocerâmicas obtidas por tratamento térmico sugerem a migração do Eu3+ para a fase cristalina de β-PbF2 apenas para as amostras mais concentradas em óxido de tungstênio com diminuição da intensidade da emissão hipersensível 5D0 7F2 em 612 nm e aumento dos tempos de vida. Medidas preliminares de luminescência do Er3+ em amostras vítreas codopadas Er3+/Yb3+ permitiram determinar uma variação nas propriedades de luminescência do íon com o grau de cristalinidade das amostras.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciência e Engenharia de MateriaisUNIFAL-MGBrasilInstituto de Ciência e Tecnologiainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Cerâmica vitrificada.Fluoretos.Metais pesados.Cristalização.MATERIAIS NAO METALICOS::CERAMICOSVidros e vitrocerâmicas luminescentes de fluorofosfatos de chumbo e tungstênioGlass and luminescent glass-ceramics of lead and tungsten fluorophosphateinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion-429741725949863893160060060048338425044343672042075167498588264571reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da UNIFALinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALNardi, Rachel Prado Russo DelorenzoLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
