Resumo: Diabetes Mellitus is a global health problem. It is a heterogeneous group of metabolic dysfunctions that has hyperglycemia in common. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of auriculotherapy on glycemic, cardiopulmonary and body composition parameters in the person with Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (DM2). It is a controlled, randomized and masked clinical trial performed between August and December 2017. The sample consisted of 44 people with DM2 who had been enrolled in the Vivver / e system for at least five years. -SUS of Primary Health Care in the city of Alfenas. After the initial evaluation, participants were allocated into two groups: the intervention group (n = 22), who received 05 auriculotherapy sessions and the control group (n = 22), who did not receive the intervention. All participants were evaluated by a trained professional, in three moments: before the intervention; one day after the last auriculotherapy session, and 15 days after the second evaluation (Follow up). For this, the instrument of characterization of the subject was used; monitoring of capillary glycemia; of body composition by body mass index, body mass index, body fat index, water index and muscle mass; and the cardiopulmonary condition by checking the maximum inspiratory and expiratory pressure, blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate. Data were analyzed by intention to treat. For the analysis the Shapiro Wilk Test was used to determine the normality of the data. The Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon Paired tests were used for the non-parametric data and the Student T-Test and Paired T-Test for the parametric. The mean value of capillary glycemia after the intervention in the intervention group was lower than in the control group. The mean values of weight and body mass index remained constant in preintervention, post-intervention and follow up. Regarding body fat index, there was statistical significance in the comparison between follow up and pre-intervention (p = 0.001). The present study showed that there was a positive clinical effect of auriculotherapy in the intervention group on capillary glycemia; in body fat index, and in blood pressure. Thus, it can be pointed out that the established treatment protocol can be considered as opportune in glycemic control and body composition.

Trata-se de um grupo heterogêneo de disfunções metabólicas que possui em comum a hiperglicemia. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar o efeito da auriculoterapia sobre parâmetros glicêmicos, cardiopulmonares e de composição corporal na pessoa com Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 (DM2). Trata-se de um ensaio clínico controlado, randomizado e mascarado, realizado entre os meses de agosto e dezembro de 2017. A amostra foi constituída por 44 pessoas com DM2, há, no mínimo, cinco anos, que estavam cadastradas no sistema Vivver/e-SUS da Atenção Primária à Saúde no município de Alfenas. Após a avaliação inicial, por meio da randomização, os participantes foram alocados em dois grupos: grupo intervenção (n=22), que recebeu 05 sessões de auriculoterapia e grupo controle (n=22), que não recebeu a intervenção. Todos os participantes foram avaliados por um profissional treinado, em três momentos: antes da intervenção; um dia após a última sessão de auriculoterapia, e 15 dias após a segunda avaliação (Follow up). Para isso, foram utilizados o instrumento de caracterização do sujeito; o monitoramento da glicemia capilar; da composição corporal por meio da verificação da massa corporal, índice de massa corporal, índice de gordura corporal, índice de água e massa muscular; e, da condição cardiopulmonar pela verificação da pressão inspiratória e expiratória máximas, pressão arterial, frequência cardíaca e respiratória. Os dados foram analisados por intenção de tratar. Para a análise foi utilizado o Teste de Shapiro Wilk para determinar a normalidade dos dados. Utilizaram-se os testes de Mann Whitney e Wilcoxon Emparelhado para os dados não paramétricos e o Teste T de Student e Teste T emparelhado para os paramétricos. O valor médio da glicemia capilar na pós-intervenção no grupo intervenção foi menor do que no grupo controle. Os valores das médias do peso e índice de massa corporal se mantiveram constantes na pré-intervenção, pósintervenção e follow up. No tocante ao índice de gordura corporal houve significância estatística na comparação entre follow up e pré-intervenção (p=0,001). O presente estudo permitiu observar que houve um efeito clínico positivo da auriculoterapia no grupo intervenção sobre a glicemia capilar; no índice de gordura corporal e, na pressão arterial. Assim, pode-se apontar que o protocolo de tratamento estabelecido pode ser considerado como oportuno no controle glicêmico e na composição corporal.application/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em EnfermagemUNIFAL-MGBrasilEscola de Enfermageminfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 2AuriculoterapiaCuidados de EnfermagemENFERMAGEM::ENFERMAGEM DE SAUDE PUBLICAEfeitos glicêmicos, cardiopulmonares e de composição corporal da auriculoterapia em pessoas com diabetes mellitus tipo 2: ensaio clínico controlado e randomizadoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion-32045805305363604936006005647390027954931658reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALBrasileiro, Thaila Oliveira ZatitiLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
