Resumo: | On the search for energetic sources that might reduce the environmental impacts caused by the use of fossil fuels, biodiesel has became an economically viable and totally renewable alternative. However, there are some problems that must be solved for biodiesel be considered completely renewable. Among these problems, special attention must be given for creating possibilities to use the byproducts generated. Hence, this work was developed with the objective of evaluating the alternative of disposal residual crude glycerin of biodiesel production on agroecosystem, aiming to observe the effects of different residue concentrations on chemical and biological soil characteristics, on plant development, without promoting environmental contamination. For that, an experiment was carried out in randomized blocks design, with seven replicates. Treatments were organized according to factorial scheme 4 x 3, where four were the glycerin (residue) concentrations (L ha-1): 0; 48.7; 146.1 and 292.2; and three were the incubation periods, considering 0, 30 and 60 days. Lettuce was used as the bioindicator species. For analyzing microbial activity, an experiment was developed in laboratory, with completely randomized design and five treatments. Soil samples of 100 g were incubated during 36 days with the same concentrations of crude glycerin, besides soil and glycerin absence. During this period, 11 evaluations were performed to measure CO2 released, in each sample. For evaluating the effects of crude glycerin on plant germination, other experiment was carried out in laboratory, using heary beggaticks achenes. Experimental scheme was randomized blocks, with five replicates and the same previous glycerin rates, but with different origins of the residue (laboratory and biodiesel mill). Residue disposal promoted the enhancement of soil organic matter, organic carbon, pH, cationic exchange capacity, phosphorous and potassium. However, residue application reduced the percentage of base saturation (V%); although, it increased the sodium content. Residue disposal was negative to lettuce in all concentrations. For rates up to 143.83 L ha-1, crude glycerin stimulated soil microbial activity, being a positive indication for further studies related to agricultural soils. On the other side, glycerin applications reduced hairy beggarticks root protrusion, even in the smallest rates. Crude glycerin has sodium levels that limits its application on the soil. |

Entretanto, há alguns problemas a serem resolvidos para o biodiesel ser considerado sustentável. Dentre estes, deve-se dar especial atenção para a criação de possibilidades de utilização dos subprodutos gerados. Diante disto, esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida com o objetivo de avaliar a alternativa de disposição de glicerina bruta residual da produção de biodiesel no agroecossistema, ao ponto de observar os efeitos da aplicação de diferentes concentrações do resíduo nas características químicas e biológicas do solo, sobre o desenvolvimento do vegetal, sem provocar contaminação ambiental. Para tanto, foi desenvolvido experimento em vasos em delineamento de blocos casualizados (DBC), com sete repetições. Os tratamentos foram organizados em esquema fatorial 4 x 3, com quatro concentrações de glicerina: 0; 48,7; 146,1; 292,2 L.ha-1; e três foram os períodos de incubação, de 0, 30 e 60 dias utilizando a alface como bioindicadora. Para a análise da atividade microbiana, um experimento foi desenvolvido em laboratório, com delineamento inteiramente casualizado e cinco tratamentos. Amostras de 100 g de solo foram incubadas por 36 dias com as mesmas concentrações de glicerina bruta, além da ausência de solo e glicerina. Durante este período, realizaram-se 11 avaliações do volume de CO2 liberado, em cada amostra. Para avaliar os efeitos da glicerina bruta sobre a germinação desenvolvimento vegetal, outro experimento foi desenvolvido em laboratório utilizando aquênios de picão preto. Foi utilizado delineamento em blocos casualizados, com cinco repetições, as mesmas concentrações de glicerina e duas origens do resíduo (laboratório e usina produtora de biodiesel). A aplicação do resíduo promoveu o aumento nos teores de matéria orgânica, carbono orgânico, pH, Capacidade de Troca de Cátions, fósforo e potássio. Entretanto a aplicação do resíduo reduziu a porcentagem de saturação por bases (V%); além de promover o aumento no teor de sódio. A adição do resíduo foi prejudicial à alface em todas as concentrações. Para doses de até 143,83 L.ha-1, a glicerina bruta estimulou a atividade microbiana do solo, sendo indicativo positivo para estudos futuros em relação a sua aplicação em solos agrícolas. Por outro lado, as aplicações de glicerina reduziram a protrusão radicular do picão-preto, mesmo nas menores doses. A glicerina bruta possui teores de sódio que limitam sua aplicação no solo.application/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ecologia e Tecnologia AmbientalUNIFAL-MGBrasilInstituto de Ciências da Naturezainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Poluição do SoloBiodieselGlicerinaGestão de residuosSalinização do soloBOTANICA::FISIOLOGIA VEGETALAplicação de glicerina bruta residual da produção de biodiesel em agroecossistemasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion4542263603111139210600600-289993050269505198reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da UNIFALinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALCaixeta, Matheus RamosORIGINALDissertação de Matheus Ramos Caixeta.pdfDissertação de Matheus Ramos Caixeta.pdfapplication/pdf1617513https://repositorio.unifal-mg.edu.br/bitstreams/4cbeb02c-568d-4d27-9300-9c8742756ede/download3ecf55578530b7261c30d466c7538ca7MD55LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
