Resumo: The SUS has as one of its attributions to perform all actions directed to the health of the worker. The objective of this study was to investigate the oral health condition of the workers of industries of the city of Varginha/MG, through an epidemiological survey carried out within the industries. It is a cross-sectional study, with random sample, stratified by industry, composed of 225 subjects. A questionnaire was used to verify the socioeconomic conditions of the family, schooling, referred morbidity, use of the health services, self-perception and impacts on the oral health of the workers, as well as a clinical examination to verify the oral health conditions, all based on the survey of SB Brasil 2010. The examinations were carried out under natural light at the facilities of each of the companies. The CPOD, CPI, PIP and use and need of dental prosthesis rates were verified. EpiBuco 2004, Epi Info 2000, BioEstat 5.3, Microsoft Excel 2016 and Microsoft Access 2016 were used to tabulate the results. The 95% confidence interval, Spearman correlation test, mean, percentage and standard deviation. A CPOD index of 19.90 was found for individuals between 45 and 64 years of age, the latter being the most relevant, which can be considered as high. Regarding periodontal problems, bleeding occurred in 2.51% of the sample, 6.21% in relation to the calculation and 4.27% in relation to the periodontal pocket, all in the age group of 20 to 34 years. In relation to PIP, the most significant value was 2.24% in the population of 35-77 years, with loss of insertion of 4 and 5 mm. With respect to edentulism, only 5.78% of the individuals used some type of superior prosthesis and 4% some type of inferior prosthesis and, as for the necessity of prosthesis, 86.67% did not need any type of superior prosthesis and 80, 44% did not need any type of lower prosthesis. Socioeconomic conditions showed that most of the workers had a family income of up to 4 minimum wage and their education was mostly full tertiary education and, secondly, higher education. Regarding oral morbidity and the use of dental services, 46.22% carried out their last consultation in the private network, so that 48.88% of the workers sought the dentist for the last time for prevention, evidencing a high level of zeal for their health oral. Most workers (averages greater than 85%) did not complain of interference of their oral health in their daily activities. It was possible to conclude that, when compared to the literature, the workers surveyed present satisfactory oral health conditions, however, the high DMFT index should be taken into account, so as to consider preventive measures and health education by companies so that it does not have negative changes with the passage of the years and the other problems continue with low incidence. In addition, it is interesting that the public health service of the municipality adopts new public policies, as well as health actions aimed at the working public, since it represents the greater part of the municipal economy

In addition, it is interesting that the public health service of the municipality adopts new public policies, as well as health actions aimed at the working public, since it represents the greater part of the municipal economyO SUS tem como uma de suas atribuições executar todas as ações direcionadas à saúde do trabalhador. Os problemas bucais, principalmente os que apresentam quadros dolorosos, são capazes de causar alterações psicológicas e emocionais que podem interferir direta e significativamente no desempenho de atividades laborais de todo e qualquer trabalhador. O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar a condição da saúde bucal dos trabalhadores de indústrias de um município do Sul de Minas Gerais, através de um levantamento epidemiológico realizado dentro das indústrias. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, com amostra aleatória, estratificada por indústria, composta por 225 sujeitos. Foi aplicado um questionário para verificação de condições socioeconômicas da família, escolaridade, morbidade bucal referida, uso dos serviços de saúde, autopercepção e impactos em saúde bucal dos trabalhadores, bem como um exame clínico para verificação das condições de saúde bucal, todos baseados no levantamento do SB Brasil 2010. Os exames foram realizados sob luz natural nas instalações de cada uma das empresas. Foram verificados os índices CPOD, CPI, PIP e uso e necessidade de prótese dentária. Para tabulação dos resultados foram utilizados os sistemas EpiBuco 2004, Epi Info 2000, BioEstat 5.3, Microsoft Excel 2016 e Microsoft Access 2016. Para as análises utilizou-se o intervalo de confiança de 95%, teste de correlação de Spearman, média, percentual e desvio padrão. Verificou-se índice CPOD de 19,90 para os indivíduos entre 45 e 64 anos, sendo este o mais relevante, o que pode ser considerado alto. Em relação aos problemas periodontais, verificou-se sangramento em 2,51% da amostra, 6,21% em relação ao cálculo e 4,27% em relação a bolsa periodontal, todos na faixa etária de 20 a 34 anos. Em relação ao PIP, o valor mais significativo foi de 2,24% na população de 35-77 anos, com perda de inserção de 4 e 5 mm. No que se refere ao edentulismo, apenas 5,78% dos indivíduos utilizava algum tipo de prótese superior e 4% algum tipo de prótese inferior e, quanto a necessidade de prótese, 86,67% não necessitava de nenhum tipo de prótese superior e 80,44% não necessitava de nenhum tipo de prótese inferior. As condições socioeconômicas evidenciaram que a maior parte dos trabalhadores possui renda familiar de até 4 salários mínimos e sua escolaridade, em sua maioria, era de ensino superior completo e, em segundo lugar, ensino superior completo. Sobre a morbidade bucal e a utilização de serviços odontológicos, 46,22% realizou sua última consulta na rede particular, de modo que que 48,88% dos trabalhadores procurou o dentista pela última vez por prevenção, evidenciando grande nível de zelo por sua saúde bucal. A maior parte dos trabalhadores (médias superiores a 85%), não se queixaram de interferência de sua saúde bucal em suas atividades diárias. Foi possível concluir que, quando comparado com a literatura, os trabalhadores pesquisados apresentam condições de saúde bucal satisfatórias, contudo, o índice CPOD alto deve ser levado em consideração, de modo a se pensar em medidas preventivas e de educação em saúde por parte das empresas para que os mesmos não tenham alterações com o passar dos anos. Além disso, é interessante que o serviço público de saúde do município adote novas políticas públicas, bem como ações de saúde voltadas para o público trabalhador, visto que o mesmo representa a maior parte da economia municipal.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Ciências OdontológicasUNIFAL-MGBrasilFaculdade de Odontologiainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Trabalhadores - Saúde bucalSaúde PúblicaOdontologia PreventivaCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ODONTOLOGIACondição de saúde bucal e autopercepção de trabalhadores de indústriasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion4673435736271820140600600600-20704984698792443492075167498588264571reponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da UNIFALinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALSilva, Danilo Verginio DaLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
