Resumo: This work had as main objective to measure the inequality in the income distribution of the 11 sources of income of Household Income per capita (RDPC) between the years 2001 and 2015 through the use of data from the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD). The Gini, Mehran and Piesch inequality índices were estimated and their respective trajectories and magnitude diferences were analyzed. The Gini index was also decomposed in an attempt to verify the contributions of each portion of the DPRK through composition and concentration effects. The results indicated an unprecedented reduction in the levels of income inequality measured by the three aforementioned inequality indices whose main determinants were: i) the appreciation of the minimum wage; ii) the increase in formality in the labor market; iii) the increase in the average schooling of the population, the reduction of educational dispersion and the consequent reduction in the rates of return on earnings for the years of study; iv) increased access to pensions in the amount of up to one minimum wage and; v) increased government coverage of income transfer programs.

Foram estimados os índices de desigualdade de Gini, de Mehran e de Piesch e analisadas suas respectivas trajetórias e diferenças de magnitude. Também decompôs-se o índice de Gini buscando-se verificar as contribuições de cada parcela da RDPC através dos efeitos composição e efeito concentração.
