The development of a region is directly linked to economic growth and the movement of people and capital. The state of Paraná in the limits and the frontiers with São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso do Sul, Argentina and Paraguay, and the port of Paranaguá with the longest frontier between Paraná and the rest of the world. Having proposed as the mesoregions of Paraná state, making limits with other regions, countries and states of Brazil. Thus we define the object to be studied, because, since its occupation in the XVI century to the present day, over and passes through major changes in population location as well in your production matrix. Being that this came from a primarily agricultural situation for an industrialized state and important economic growth. In this sense the purpose of this paper is to analyze the occupational changes and capital by inserting the three sectors, agriculture, industry and trade / services at the state of Paraná. Having as a methodology to study the growth of mesoregions the secondary data from IPEADATA and RAIS, facilitating, thus, their answers, that had better growth in the periphery of the state, or frontier region. Being the one that stood out was Curitiba which has the largest frontier of the state, which is the frontier, with the rest of the world, through the Port of Paranaguá.
