Resumo: Health is "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not only the absence of diseases and illnesses". It is a social right, inherent to the condition of citizenship and must be ensured without distinction of race, religion, political ideology or socioeconomic status. Culminating in the concept of Single Health (One Health), which seeks to interconnect human health and animal health, making them interdependent and linked to environmental health. Thus, health is thus presented as a collective value, a good of all. The search for this integral concept of health permeates our daily life and should not be different at work, specifically in teaching work. This research seeks to analyze the relationship between the teacher's illness and the teaching-learning process It is a basic research, descriptive and observational with a qualitative approach. As a scenario, the municipal schools of the city of Foz do Iguaçu - Paraná were chosen, with a total of five schools selected by lot, one per region with the highest number of inhabitants. The participants of this research were 10 (ten) municipal teachers of Foz do Iguaçu, being 2 (two) teachers from each school, also randomly selected, with at least 10 (ten) years of work in elementary school I. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were conducted with objective and discursive questions, totaling 21 (twenty-one) questions. The analysis of the interviews was performed by Discourse Analysis. The results show an overload of work, causing musculoskeletal disorders due to repetitive effort, symptoms of anxiety and mental exhaustion, especially in teachers with more years of teaching experience and also in the current moment in which we experience the COVID-19 Pandemic, which can be a factor that undermines students' teaching. However, teachers do not give up easily, as they also enjoy work. In this way, they provide education to students, but at a cost that they will realize later on at the end of their career. Therefore, the organization of work should favor so that there is no suffering, providing guidance for preventing illness to all teachers.

Submitted by Katia Abreu (katia.abreu@unioeste.br) on 2023-07-27T12:23:51Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Cristina_Oliveira_de_Araújo_Prado_2021.pdf: 1000390 bytes, checksum: 76afca4fc00bc763ba1cc0d95647c586 (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2023-07-27T12:23:51Z (GMT).
