Resumo: The exacerbated production of solid waste and its inadequate disposal is one of the main problems faced by countries around the world. Education can contribute to facing this situation through environmental education combined with the correct management of waste. The study's main objective is to develop environmental practices, providing social inclusion and active participation of students, teachers and employees in society, integrating them with themes that involve selective collection, recycling and citizen participation, aiming at alternatives to mitigate the environmental impacts produced. by this type of school community. The research methodology was based on the study developed at the Lindoeste State Military Civic College - EFM, orienting it to environmental education focused on practical day-today activities both at home and at school. Data collection took place during the months of June to December 2021. Organized in the following stages: the moment of presentation of the project to the management team, teachers and school staff, scheduling of meetings, application of questionnaires to students. Lectures in the classroom and activities using active methodologies with students such as: making posters with educational phrases, lecture on solid waste, reconstitution of some school garbage collectors. Special participation of three teachers who developed activities with elementary and high school classes in the discipline of chemistry, science and English language, we held seminars related to the theme, preparations for making the Christmas tree with recycled material, and the moment of application again from the questionnaire after the studies conducted in the classroom. It was found that from the practices carried out at the school there was participation by students, teachers and employees related to the topic addressed. It was also possible to perceive how much the actions impacted those involved in the development of activities leading to the formation of social, participatory and reflective individuals.

A educação pode contribuir para o enfrentamento dessa situação através da educação ambiental aliada ao correto gerenciamento de resíduos. O estudo tem como objetivo principal desenvolver práticas ambientais, proporcionando a inclusão social a e participação ativa dos alunos, professores e funcionários na sociedade, integrandoos com os temas que envolvem coleta seletiva, reciclagem e participação cidadã, visando alternativas para mitigar os impactos ambientais produzidos por este tipo de comunidade escolar. A metodologia da pesquisa pautou-se no estudo desenvolvido no colégio estadual cívico militar Lindoeste – EFM, orientando-o a educação ambiental voltada para as atividades práticas do dia a dia tanto em casa quanto no âmbito escolar. A coleta de dados ocorreu durante os meses de junho a dezembro de 2021. Organizada em algumas etapas a seguir: o momento de apresentação do projeto para equipe gestora, professores e funcionários da escola, agendamento de encontros, a aplicação de questionários para os estudantes. As aulas expositivas na sala de aula e atividades usando metodologias ativas com os alunos como: confecção de cartazes com frases educativas, palestra sobre resíduos sólidos, reconstituição de alguns lixeiros da escola. Participação especial de três professores que desenvolveram atividades com as turmas de ensino fundamental e médio na disciplina de química, ciências e língua inglesa, foram realizados seminários relacionados com o tema, preparativos para a confecção da árvore de natal com material reciclado, e o momento da aplicação novamente do questionário após os estudos dirigidos em sala da aula. Verificou-se que a partir das práticas realizadas na escola houve participação por partes dos alunos, professores e funcionários relacionado ao tema abordado.
