Resumo: This research aimed to investigate the pedagogical practice of a group of Portuguese Language teachers in Elementary School, from the perspective of the reflective teacher, and to analyze the prescribed curriculum for the discipline. The study is based on the theoretical contribution of Donald Schön, with the theory of the reflective teacher, and the Policy Cycle Approach (ACP), by Stephen Ball, which are articulated in a way that allows a critical and profound analysis of the school context. The methodology used is qualitative in nature and is outlined as a case study. The research setting was a group of Elementary School schools in the public network of a municipality in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul and Portuguese Language teachers participated as research subjects. For data collection, questionnaires and interviews were used. For data analysis, the Discursive Textual Analysis (ATD) by Moraes and Galiazzi (2016) was used. The results reveal that Portuguese Language teachers perceive the importance of reflection on practice and collaborative work with their peers, but face difficulties in promoting interdisciplinarity and contextualization in the curriculum. The research points to the need for continuing education that offers subsidies for the appropriation of the curriculum and the development of pedagogical practices that contemplate students' life contexts and teaching autonomy.

O estudo tem como base o aporte teórico de Donald Schön, com a teoria do professor reflexivo, e a Abordagem do Ciclo de Políticas (ACP), de Stephen Ball, que se articulam de maneira a possibilitar uma análise crítica e profunda do contexto escolar. A metodologia utilizada é de natureza qualitativa e se delineia como estudo de caso. O cenário da pesquisa foi um grupo de escolas de Ensino Fundamental da rede pública de um município do interior do Rio Grande do Sul e como sujeitos da pesquisa participaram professoras de Língua Portuguesa. Para a coleta de dados, foram utilizados questionários e entrevistas. Para a análise dos dados, recorreu-se à Análise Textual Discursiva (ATD) de Moraes e Galiazzi (2016). Os resultados revelam que as professoras de Língua Portuguesa percebem a importância da reflexão sobre a prática e do trabalho colaborativo com seus pares, mas enfrentam dificuldades em promover a interdisciplinaridade e a contextualização no currículo.
