The research, idealized within Research Line 2: Environmental Planning and Regional Development, belonging to the Master of Environment and Regional Development, is presented in this dissertation. The objective of this work is to analyze how logistics, if structured, collaborates with family production and regional development, considering the reality found in the São Bento III settlement, in the municipality of Mirante do Paranapanema (S.P). The research was motivated by the following questioning: To what extent does logistics, as a support tool, contribute to family production and regional development of the Pontal do Paranapanema - SP It was hypothesized that the planning and effective application of A logistic plan that contemplates the reality of the settlers of São Bento III, besides the best organization of the small family producers in associations, are determinants for the sustainable development of Mirante do Paranapanema - SP, to construct such analysis the following general objective was established: Directly approach the importance of logistics as an instrument to support the family production process in Pontal do Paranapanema - SP, focusing on the dairy cattle production of the São Bento III settlement. In order to demonstrate a correlation between the problem and the objective and to point out solutions, the research presents a clear diagnosis of the problem and a project that can be implemented by the municipalities of the studied region in the search for its development. In the construction of the work the method of bibliographical revision of classic and contemporary authors was used, and the field research method, supported by the technique of direct observation and the application of a questionnaire to 45% of the owners of the São Bento III lots. This methodological structure allows for the fidelity of the presented information. The work evidenced that the logistic chain if adequately structured, positively influence the development of the Pontal do Paranapanema - SP region, finally, it was observed that the absence of the State, in the fulfillment of its role, prevents the evolution of small producers in addition to Of the current situation.
