It is a consensus that the growth of the world population has driven the growth of food production. In view of this, a great deal has been invested in technology aimed at promoting agricultural production and its derivatives, and the peak of the agrochemicals industry, which has in the last decades inserted a huge range of these products in several countries of the globe, to measure the damage caused to living beings and the environment in a prudent way. Truly, in the search for easy and high profit, without measuring consequences, Capital has day after day projected on the fauna and the flora, threatening the own biota, making excessive and uncontrolled use of the natural resources with the use of pesticides. Some banned, others banned. The issue related to the contamination of water, soil and air caused by the misuse of these chemicals has become extremely worrying, especially in the regions where the large productions are located, as in the case of the region of Pontal do Paranapanema, São Paulo, where studies reporting the impact of the health of the population and of the environment existing in the surroundings of these producing areas. Therefore, the present work aims to promote a systematic review of Brazilian and international legislation specifically of Argentina and Uruguay (under the scientific and juridical approach) so as to highlight the positive and possibly negative aspects of these legislations, seeking to promote discussions and debates about the impacts and in the case of the Pontal do Paranapanema/SP region, proposing legal alternatives capable of helping or mitigating the problems caused by the use of pesticides
