Resumo: | This master's research was developed in the Municipality of Regente Feijó - SP. It is linked to the research line “Public Policies in Education, Educational Practices and Diversity” of the Graduate Program in Education at the University of Oeste Paulista (Unoeste) and takes as an object of study the Educational Policies for the continuous training of school principals. The objective is to verify to what extent the continuing education activities offered to school principals in the municipality of Regente Feijó-SP correspond to their training needs. The methodology is qualitative and covers two procedures to achieve the main objective: 1- documentary research on educational policies and training activities offered by the Municipality; and 2- semi-structured interviews with managers about their effectiveness. Seven managers were interviewed, and the inclusion criterion was: choice of those who stayed longer as principals of schools in the municipal network, from 2009 to 2018. As a result, it was expected to characterize the training needs of managers in the training processes that they were offered and to what extent they responded to them. The theoretical framework was made up of propositions that take the school institution as a means of studies focusing on its principals / managers, such as public training policies for this public. Although the study has shown that the Municipality of Regente Feijó - SP has implemented training policies for principals / managers, materialized in their school management practices, a fragmented character of actions, composed of improvements and anachronisms, prevails in this sphere. The research pointed out that with regard to Educational Policies there is a certain complicity between the Municipal Directorate of Education and school management, corroborating the limits and impossibilities of the work of the School Director / Manager, since in the expression of his speeches we also find latent possibilities for the construction of means , options that go beyond the limits imposed by the managerial ones, in a constant struggle for continuous improvement, because in addition to the voices and subjects involved in the school, it also carries the name of the Director / Manager. |

Vincula-se a linha de pesquisa “Políticas Públicas em Educação, Práticas Educativas e Diversidade” do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade do Oeste Paulista (Unoeste) e toma como objeto de estudo as Políticas Educacionais para formação continuada de diretores de escola. O objetivo é verificar em que medida as atividades de formação continuada oferecidas aos diretores de escola do município de Regente Feijó-SP correspondem às suas necessidades formativas. A metodologia é qualitativa e abrange dois procedimentos para se atingir o objetivo principal: 1- pesquisa documental sobre as políticas educacionais e atividades de formação oferecidas pelo Município; e 2- entrevistas semiestruturadas com gestores sobre a efetividade das mesmas. Foram entrevistadas sete gestoras, sendo que o critério de inclusão foi: escolha daqueles que permaneceram mais tempo como diretores de escolas da rede municipal, no período de 2009 a 2018. Como resultado esperava-se a caracterização das necessidades formativas dos gestores, nos processos formativos que lhes foram oferecidos e em que medida atenderam a estes. O referencial teórico compôs-se de proposições que tomam a instituição escolar como meio de estudos com foco em seus diretores/gestores, como as políticas públicas de formação para este público. Embora o estudo tenha demonstrado que o Município de Regente Feijó tem realizados políticas de formação para diretores/gestores, materializados em suas práticas de gestão escolar, prevalece nesta esfera, um caráter fragmentado de ações, compostos de melhorias e anacronismos.
