Resumo: Considered the oldest Public Policy on Food Security in Brazil, the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) officially integrates with Family Agriculture (AF) with the publication of Law No. % of the funds transferred with the purchase of food produced by the AF, primarily locally, with the aim of simultaneously stimulating food production and local sustainability, allowing for an increase in the supply of fresh and healthy food in schools. Organic production is based on the use of biological processes and controls to maintain the quality of the land, planting pest control and, in animal husbandry, food produced in organic systems can contribute to the promotion and preservation of health. , sustainability and food safety, considering that they are less contaminated with chemical substances. The present study seeks to discuss and analyze the interfaces of school meals in Nova Alta Paulista, composed of 30 municipalities, focusing on the role of organic foods from family farming. This is an observational field research with a qualitative approach, the technique used was the questionnaire with the 30 municipalities of Alta Paulista, through the Municipal Department of Education (Secretary of Education or Technical Responsible Nutritionist), with questions related to purchase of products intended for school meals from family farming and organic. The results reveal a low percentage of municipalities that buy organic products from family farming in the region, of the 30 municipalities in Nova Alta Paulista, only 6 (20%) make the purchase. The relationship made between the municipalities that buy and the food purchased shows little variety of organic foods present in the school's menu.

The relationship made between the municipalities that buy and the food purchased shows little variety of organic foods present in the school's menu.Considerada a mais antiga Política Pública de Segurança Alimentar do Brasil, o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE) se integra à Agricultura Familiar (AF) de maneira oficial com a publicação da Lei nº11.947/2009, que determina a aplicação mínima de 30% dos recursos transferidos com a aquisição de alimentos produzidos pela AF prioritariamente de forma local com o propósito de estimular simultaneamente a produção de alimentos e a sustentabilidade local, permitindo ampliar a oferta de alimentos in natura e saudáveis nas escolas. A produção orgânica baseia-se na utilização de processos e controles biológicos para a manutenção da qualidade da terra, do plantio do controle de pragas e, na criação de animais, os alimentos produzidos em sistemas orgânicos podem contribuir para a promoção e a preservação da saúde, sustentabilidade e para a segurança alimentar, considerando que são menos contaminados com substâncias químicas. O presente estudo busca discutir e analisar as interfaces da alimentação escolar na Nova Alta Paulista composta por 30 municípios, enfocando o papel dos alimentos orgânicos advindos da agricultura familiar. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo de natureza observacional e de abordagem qualitativa, a técnica utilizada foi o questionário junto aos 30 municípios da Alta Paulista, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Educação (Secretário de Educação ou Nutricionista Responsável Técnico), com questões relacionadas à compra de produtos destinados à alimentação escolar provenientes da agricultura familiar e orgânicos. Os resultados revelam baixo percentual de municípios que compram produtos orgânicos da agricultura familiar na região, dos 30 municípios da Nova Alta Paulista apenas 6 (20%) realizam a compra.
