The article aims to analyze the political trajectory of Siegfried Emanuel Heuser considering the period that he was politically active. In this sense, the dissertation is part of the studies on Political History, with emphasis on the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Within the proposal, it is established as chronological cut from the period of 1950 until 1969, when he was retired of his political rights from 1979 until 1986, the year the partisan deceased. To make the study viable, the newspapers from Diário de Notícias and Correio do Povo from Porto Alegre and Gazeta do Sul from Santa Cruz do Sul were used. Together with the press sources, the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly of the state of Rio Grande do Sul were analyzed, referring to the pronouncements of the politician, made in plenary sessions of the legislatures in which he was present in the legislature (1951-1967). In addition to these sources, we also analyze Siegfried Heuser's pronouncements, proposals, and propositions as a federal deputy (1983-1986). As the analysis of these sources and optimization of research time, it is used the content analysis methodology, within a quantitative perspective, to organize the information and qualitative, in the sense of analysis. From this perspective, we seek to problematize the passage of the politician initially by the Brazilian Labor Party and later by the Brazilian Democratic Movement, where the politician acted as President of the party's state executive until his annulment in 1969. It is also analyzed the return to the same MDB and migration to the political framework of the Brazilian Democratic Movement Party. For this, we analyze intraparty issues, Siegfried Heuser's construction of political capital and his relationship with the electorate. We seek to understand his actions by problematizing his pronouncements, bills presented, and groups benefited by them, choices made along the political trajectory, contextualizing its positions within the political field.
