Resumo: This work analyzes the architectural and theoretical production of Rem Koolhaas in the period between 1976 and 2002, therefore since the foundation of his office, OMA. In this process, he seeks to identify in his projects the application and maturation of concepts, principles, or procedures developed initially in his book "Delirious New York: A Retroactive Manifesto". Concepts those that added to others, with later formulation, would define an architecture apparently free from the restrictions of history, ideology and politics. Such freedom would allow architecture to develop on its own terms.
