Resumo: The purpose of this research is to use the strategies of deconstructive reading in the novel Lavoura Arcaica (1975) by Raduan Nassar and understand how it is processed in the literary text. The theoretical framework is based on the proposal of the deconstruction by Jacques Derrida, who in an attempt to extricate the western metaphysical thought undertook a reading of the texts of the philosophers affiliated to this tradition. In Lavoura Arcaica, various texts of the biblical tradition are faced with the work in proposal is to show a non-logocentric reading (so deconstructive) for the points of interest to the study. The aspects related to the deconstructive perspective will cause the discourse displacement of this same tradition.

A fundamentação teórica é baseada na proposta da desconstrução de Jacques Derrida que, na tentativa de se desvencilhar do pensamento metafísico ocidental, empreendeu uma leitura dos textos dos filósofos filiados a esta tradição. Em Lavoura Arcaica, vários textos da tradição bíblica se encontram e se confrontam com a obra em questão, abrindo um espaço de deslocamento no discurso logocêntrico, desconstruindo verdades propostas pela tradição. A intenção é que o confronto ocorra inevitavelmente, pois a proposta é mostrar uma leitura não logocêntrica (por isso desconstrutora) em relação aos aspectos que interessam ao estudo em questão.
