Resumo: In the past couple of years, more precisely after the catastrophe in Haiti on January 2010, the Haitian migration to Brazil has marked our history. Due to the lack of better public migration policies and the lack of support by the State, the majority of Haitian immigrants that arrived to our country, ended up inevitably being greeted and welcomed by religious institutions, acting in the hopes of supplying some of the essential and urgent necessities. Among these institutions The Adventist Church of The Seventh Day, in a lighter manner, also acted. In Sao Paulo, where a group of Adventist Haitians was sheltered by institution, a relationship was established between the immigrants and the Adventist Church of The Seventh Day. In such relationship, the identity of the Haitian group was built, stablishing missionary and social strategies with the intent of reaching other Haitians.

Frente a escassez de políticas públicas migratórias e o consequente desamparo por parte do Estado, a grande maioria dos imigrantes haitianos que chegavam ao país, acabavam inevitavelmente sendo recepcionados e acolhidos por instituições de cunho religioso, que atuaram na tentativa de suprir algumas de suas necessidades essenciais e emergenciais. Entre essas instituições, a Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia, ainda que de forma sucinta, também atuou. Em São Paulo, onde um grupo de haitianos adventistas foi acolhido pela Instituição, uma relação entre esse imigrante e a Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia foi estabelecida.
