Resumo: This study aimed to understand how interactions between mothers and their disabled children take place, based upon the theory of Innate Intersubjectivity, as well as to investigate main difficulties they faced in their daily activities. Four mothers and their children (aged between 1 to 2 years old) with some sort of disability participated in this research. Data were collected through video recordings in three different situations: feeding, bathing, and playing, in the participants homes. Videos were analyzed frame-by-frame and results showed that hindrances in interactions may cause difficulties in the child s physical and emotional development, as well as influencing the origin of psychofunctional and psychopathological symptoms in mothers and children. It s expected that this research may contribute to the increase of knowledge about the topic, motivating other professionals and researchers to its extension.

It s expected that this research may contribute to the increase of knowledge about the topic, motivating other professionals and researchers to its extension.Este estudo teve como principal objetivo compreender como acontecem as interações entre mães e seus filhos deficientes, através do embasamento da teoria da Intersubjetividade Inata, assim como investigar nas diversas situações do cotidiano das mães e das crianças as maiores dificuldades enfrentadas por ambos nessa interação. Participaram dessa pesquisa quatro mães com seus filhos, com idades entre 1 e 2 anos e com diagnóstico de alguma deficiência. Os dados foram coletados através de filmagens realizadas nas casas dos participantes, em três situações diferentes: alimentação, banho/higiene e recreação. As filmagens foram analisadas posteriormente quadro a quadro e como resultado foi percebido que as interações que ficam comprometidas podem dificultar o desenvolvimento físico e emocional da criança, como também pode influenciar no aparecimento de sintomas psicofuncionais e psicopatológicos, tanto nas mães como em seus filhos.
