Resumo: One of the great challenges of diagnostic medicine is to accurately identify risk pathologies. Besides this, another factor of high relevance is the search for the reduction of the time spent in the treatment of these diseases. With this orientation, this work was developed with the purpose of proposing and implementing actions that would lead to the strategic notification by radiologist physicians and the capture of diseases with high risk potential for life in the initial stages, mainly in order that such cases could be treated more assertively and quickly. The Breast and Fast Capture Programs comprise an effective solution to a health care provider, with an emphasis on vertical planning and involving a variety of medical specialties, placing the patient at the center of our attention. In the context of diagnosis and treatment, allied to the Six Sigma methodology, it seeks to achieve high resolution capacity, optimizing steps, establishing protocols and mapping processes through the FMEA, with critical analysis and continuous improvements in each phase. The implementation of the program occurred through the DMAIC phases, demonstrating more effective results in the proposed treatments, which mainly include oncological and vascular diseases. This proposal arose in the mammography sector, due to the fact that patients with high suspicion for breast cancer take many days to perform complementary examinations and consult with a specialist. Thus, with the study of the stages of this process, as well as the measurement of the times, it was noticed that it was necessary to improve this whole process. With the description of the steps and review of the processes, this study was carried out aiming at reducing the time between diagnosis and treatment of risky diseases, determining greater patient survival and quality in their routine. This interventional work also involved the monitoring of cases, optimization of the queues of exams and consultations, as well as providing more information to patients. The high complexity involved in this process of organizational change established an efficient communication link between patients, physicians and the company, making the focus the host of these beneficiaries through the integration of activities throughout the cycle. The proposals established by the programs are an example of process innovation, carried out by Prevent Senior®, increasing the effectiveness of the diagnosis and treatment system, as well as reducing bureaucracy. All this transformation of good clinical practice can be expanded to other locations and services, bringing benefits to society through health management.
