Resumo: The present work was carried out in a semideciduous montane forest area of the Natural Reserve of the Natural Patrimony (RPPN) Pedra D'anta - PE, with the objective of evaluating structural alterations in the vegetation, in a local fragment scale, and if these are explained by topographic variation (top, slope and valley), by altitude and soil characteristics. A total of 50 continuous plots of 20x10 m, distributed under the top conditions, were placed and evaluated for all individuals with breast height diameter (DAP) ≥ 5. Measurements were collected / collected in each sample unit as follows: altitude, biomass of Litter cover, canopy cover and composite soil samples. The total density recorded for the fragment was 1,653 ind.ha-1 and a total basal area of 25.33 m².ha-1. The topographic and topographic conditions differed significantly for the number of individuals, height and diameter, with the two largest results in the slope diameter. A canopy cover did not differ between conditions. Of the soil variables only the aluminum and magnesium contents were influenced by the altitude variations. A litter biomass ranged from 3.38 t / ha (valley) to 4.45 t / ha (slope). As multiple linear regression analyzes indicated that among the structural aspects of the vegetation a distribution of the number of individuals varied as a function of altitude, pH and calcium; A diameter in relation to litter biomass and an altitude; And the height and cover variations with the analyzed abiotic variables. In view of the results, it is concluded that in fragment scale or altitude increase, associated with topography, it exerts a positive effect in density, negative in relation to the diameter and indifferent to a height of the plants and canopy cover; In addition to being a predictor of changes in soil characteristics.

Submitted by Mario BC (mario@bc.ufrpe.br) on 2018-06-07T15:50:54Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Renato Magnum Tavares Costa.pdf: 1701983 bytes, checksum: d2360d24c932b61314c2cabdc153fa53 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2018-06-07T15:50:54Z (GMT).
