Resumo: The Construction Industry projects could be very complex because involve numerous professionals and, in addition, produce hundreds related documents. The use of support tools and innovations in this industry, especially compared to other industries, is still very small. This work presents an assessment of the use of technological tools for the construction industry design companies, located in city of Curitiba and the metropolitan region. It attempted to establish a profile of companies from the empirical study of the variables associated with the main project steps. The research was based on a survey of 114 companies where data were collected. The data are related to 38 variables divided into 10 categories, and were analyzed based on descriptive statistics through frequency distribution graphs and Spearman correlation. Presented by different companies groups, the results show that the sector is still characterized by incipient use of technological tools available for development projects. The analysis also provided the visualization of the correlation between variables, demonstrating what tools are closer to each other in the processes applied within organizations. The context shows an important space to be occupied in the introduction of innovations in the sector, remaining to determine the factor for effective use of these support tools.

A utilização de ferramentas de apoio e inovações no setor, principalmente se comparado a outras indústrias, ainda é muito pequena. Este trabalho apresenta um diagnóstico do nível de utilização de ferramentas e tecnologias por empresas projetistas da indústria da Construção Civil, localizadas no município de Curitiba e região metropolitana. Buscou-se estabelecer um perfil das empresas a partir do estudo empírico das variáveis, associadas às principais etapas de projeto. A pesquisa foi realizada através em um survey, onde foram levantados dados de 114 empresas. Os dados estão relacionados a 38 variáveis dividas em 10 categorias, e foram analisados com base em estatística descritiva através de gráficos de distribuição de frequência e correlação de Spearman. Apresentados por subsetores das diferentes empresas, os resultados mostram que o setor é caracterizado ainda pelo uso incipiente de ferramentas e tecnologias disponíveis e um impacto pequeno sobre o desenvolvimento de projetos. As análises proporcionaram também a visualização da correlação entre variáveis, demonstrando quais ferramentas apresentam maior proximidade entre si nos processos aplicados dentro das organizações.
