Resumo: The present study aims to develop an instrument to assess and classify the level of "intelligence" of multipurpose stadiums and arenas. The instrument was developed based on two documents provided by FIFA: Technical Recommendations and Requirements 2011 and Stadium Guidelines 2022, along with a literature review based on previously published scientific articles on the topic. To achieve this, four databases were examined: Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and Scopus, using the descriptors: "smart stadium" OR "smart stadiums". Validation was performed through content validation, and its reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The final version of the instrument resulted in seven areas, 22 indicators, and 173 questions. The content validation process revealed that out of the initial 202 questions, 165 showed content validation indices (CVIs) above 0.90, indicating excellent validation. After revisions and adjustments to the 37 questions with CVIs below 0.80, the final version of the instrument was approved by expert judges. The reliability of the instrument, measured by Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α = 0.977), demonstrated robust internal consistency, reinforcing its reliability. The results of applying the instrument to stadiums in the A, B, and C series of the Brazilian Championship indicate that the Series A stadium achieved the highest overall score, particularly excelling in the Safety category. The Series B stadium ranked second, while the Series C stadium showed the lowest performance. Detailed analysis revealed opportunities in sustainability and technology, pointing towards specific improvements. It can be concluded that the evaluation instrument developed to analyze the intelligence of Brazilian stadiums has proven to be effective and reliable, undergoing a robust validation process resulting in a refined final version. The absence of classification as a "Smart stadium" highlights challenges to be overcome, reinforcing the utility of the instrument as a guide for the evolution and modernization of Brazilian stadiums.
