Resumo: This dissertation focuses on understanding the interweaving of poetry with Ecology through the ideas of Michel Deguy (2010), who states that poetry is a way of inhabiting the Earth and that Ecology is the study of the “home.” In other words, poetry provides insight into the dwelling of living beings on Earth. For the research development, the ecocritical studies approach was used, based on the following works: Ecocriticism (2006) by Greg Garrard; Ecology and Poetry (2010) by Michel Deguy; The three Ecologies (2012) by Félix Guattari; Ecology: Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor (2015) by Leonardo Boff; and Ecosophy (2021) by Michel Maffesoli. The research objects come from the collection of poems of Adélia Prado: Poetry Reunited (2017). Continuing the theoretical framework: The Bow and the Lyre: (2012) by Octavio Paz; The Being and the Time of Poetry (2000) by Alfredo Bosi; Literature and Society (2006) by Antonio Candido and The Open Work (1991) by Umberto Eco, with the aim of reinterpreting Adélia Prado’s poetry through an ecocritical understanding. Thus, the intention of this work is to highlight the connections between human beings and the elements of nature, themselves, and society.

Em outras palavras, a poesia clarividência a habitação do ser vivo na Terra. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, foi utilizada a abordagem dos estudos ecocríticos, fundamentada nas seguintes obras Ecocrítica (2006), de Greg Garrard; Ecologia e Poesia (2010), de Michel Deguy; As três ecologias (2012), de Félix Guattari; Ecologia: grito da Terra, grito dos pobres (2015), de Leonardo Boff; Ecosofia (2021), de Michel Maffesoli. Os objetos de pesquisa advêm da coletânea de poemas Adélia Prado: Poesia Reunida (2017). Dando continuidade ao quadro teórico: O Arco e A Lira (2012), de Octávio Paz; O ser e o tempo da poesia (2000), de Alfredo Bosi, Literatura e Sociedade (2006), de Antonio Candido, A obra aberta (1991), de Umberto Eco com a finalidade de reinterpretar a poesia adeliana por uma compreensão ecocrítica.
