Reformulação curricular na educação superior: a experiência da UTFPR, campus Pato Branco

Resumo: The Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) has its genesis in 1909, as the School of Apprentice Artifices of Paraná, in the city of Curitiba. Since then, it has undergone several transformations until, today, it has become an institution with 13 campuses, including the Pato Branco, research locus. The general objective of the study consisted of analyzing the curricular reformulation process at UTFPR, Pato Branco campus, from 2018 to 2022, in order to adapt to national legislation. The thesis defended by the author is that the curricular construction/reformulation of the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPCs) at UTFPR, due to the many genesis of the institution, has corresponded to the interests of technological human training for the modes of production and work relations in capitalist society, from its creation as a School of Apprentice Artifices to contemporary times. This research consists of a case study whose data were collected through fieldwork, bibliographical research, documentary research (worldwide documents, national legal documents and official institutional documents), photographs from the Department of Historical Documentation at UTFPR (DEDHIS), field diary, in-depth interview and questionnaire, analyzed qualitatively, considering content analysis. To support teachers in the curricular reformulation at UTFPR, two training actions were promoted by the institution: the undergraduate forums and the course design workshops. The curricular organization by competencies, recommended in national legislation and incorporated by UTFPR, both in internal regulations and in course design workshops, was, in the process, something that generated several reflections, given the formative conception that underpins it. The documentary corpus consists of eight chapters (including final considerations), in addition to references. The results demonstrated that the transformations experienced by UTFPR, since 1909, were premised on adapting to the demands emanating from the world of work, at different historical moments. It also demonstrated that the curricular reformulation movement experienced, specifically from 2018 to 2022, followed this alignment, having in the curriculum, through competencies, the materialization of intentions emanating from the context of influences and involving the economic, political, social, cultural dimension and administrative. Such intentions reach curricular policies, spread throughout Higher Education Institutions and reach Undergraduate PPCs, directing the training of students, therefore meeting the demands of the modes of production and labor relations of capitalist society, whose intentions initially reached curricular policies. Furthermore, the main challenges and possibilities were also reflected on, listing propositions for future processes.

Desde então, passou por várias transformações até, na atualidade, tornar-se uma instituição com 13 campi, entre eles o campus Pato Branco, lócus da pesquisa. O objetivo geral do estudo consistiu na análise sobre o processo de reformulação curricular na UTFPR, campus Pato Branco, no período 2018 a 2022, para adequar-se à legislação nacional. A tese defendida pela autora é que a construção/reformulação curricular dos Projetos Pedagógicos de Curso (PPCs) da UTFPR, pela própria gênese da instituição, tem correspondido aos interesses de formação humana tecnológica para os modos de produção e relações de trabalho na sociedade capitalista, desde a sua criação como Escola de Aprendizes Artífices até a contemporaneidade. Esta pesquisa constitui-se em um estudo de caso e os dados foram coletados por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, pesquisa documental (documentos de âmbito mundial, documentos legais de âmbito nacional e documentos oficiais institucionais), fotografias do Departamento de Documentação Histórica da UTFPR (DEDHIS), diário de campo, entrevista em profundidade e questionário, analisados qualitativamente, considerando a análise de conteúdo. Para subsidiar os docentes na reformulação curricular na UTFPR, duas ações formativas foram promovidas pela instituição: os fóruns da graduação e as oficinas de design de curso. A organização curricular por competências, preconizada na legislação nacional e incorporada pela UTFPR, tanto nas regulamentações internas quanto nas oficinas de design de cursos, foi, no processo, algo que gerou várias reflexões, haja vista a concepção formativa que a embasa. O corpus documental é composto por oito capítulos (incluindo as considerações finais), além das referências. Os resultados demonstraram que as transformações vivenciadas pela UTFPR, desde 1909, tiveram como premissa a adaptação das demandas emanadas pelo mundo do trabalho, em diferentes momentos históricos. Demonstrou, também, que o movimento de reformulação curricular vivenciado, especificamente de 2018 a 2022, seguiu esse alinhamento, tendo no currículo, por competências, a materialização das intencionalidades emanadas pelo contexto de influências e que envolve a dimensão econômica, política, social, cultural e administrativa. Tais intencionalidades alcançam as políticas curriculares, espraiam-se pelas Instituições de Educação Superior e chegam aos PPCs de graduação, direcionando a formação dos estudantes, atendendo, portanto, às demandas dos modos de produção e relações de trabalho da sociedade capitalista, cujas intencionalidades alcançaram inicialmente as políticas curriculares.
