This dissertation examined the management of Pronaf (Program for Strengthening Family Farming) and its relationship to sustainable development of farming families living in the community Mazurana Finance (MF) - located in the city of Two Neighbors - Southwest of Paraná. For this, we diagnosed the socio-economic-environmental household and public policy management via the Bank of Brazil. The stage of the research that you understand the diagnosis in social, economic and environmental problems was related to a common research involving besides the author of this work, two other students the Graduate Program in Regional Development. This phase of the joint research intended to check the status of life of families in the three dimensions mentioned, as well as the activities of public or non-governmental organizations Two Neighbors‟s in relation to the principles of sustainability. It is known that the results of a public policy in this case - Pronaf, much depends on the management of organizations that mediate the process to release the resources available. Thus, this study examined in particular the management of Pronaf through the Bank of Brazil, identifying the development model promoted in families who have accessed the program. From the results, it could be seen in the MF community and the families interviewed a fairly good situation, but with strong evidence of the development of conventional productivist order.
