Startups are business models inserted in the context of today's society, that is, it is a subject in evidence and must be critically and forcefully analyzed. Thus, the present study aims to develop a model for understanding the perception of sustainability in startups in Curitiba-PR, Brazil. Indicators related to corporate sustainability and tools for assessing the development of startups in the city of Curitiba - PR are presented. Factors that emerge in each dimension of sustainability - social, economic and environmental - were identified in the vision of startups in the city of Curitiba. The existence of homogeneous groups regarding the perception of sustainability among the surveyed startups was also verified. To this end, research techniques were employed: documentary research, bibliometric research and literature review, questionnaires sent to startups in Curitiba, key stakeholders and key pieces for understanding the theme addressed in this thesis. The research results highlighted the evolution of the insertion of the concept of sustainability in the ecosystem of startups in Curitiba. The entrepreneurs, in turn, received a list of indicators and enrolled through the Likert method, those indicators considered most relevant in relation to the inclusion of the principles of corporate sustainability in their business. Based on this adopted investigative process, a model of understanding the perception of sustainability in startups was presented, which signaled the main characteristics of these companies in their areas of activity, life cycle, target audience and support entity, and the importance of the indicators that tapered the company. industry knowledge.
