A constatação de que as injustiças sociais e econômicas afetam todas as dimensões do ser humano, e que as mesmas são causadas por estruturas, lógicas e sistemas presentes na sociedade latino-americana, convoca a poimênica cristã a desenvolver uma dimensão profética, que saiba equilibrar simultaneamente o cuidado com a pessoa que sofre com a crítica e articulações que visam à superação das estruturas, sistemas e lógicas geradoras de sofrimento. A análise sobre as características da poimênica latino-americana demonstrou, em termos gerais, que a mesma enfrenta inúmeras dificuldades para assumir o contexto social, político, religioso e até mesmo cultural, como parte de sua missão. Sua orientação individualista e reducionista impede que a mesma se alie às lutas por libertação em andamento no continente. A poimênica facilmente adquire uma característica paliativa ao isolar o indivíduo do contexto histórico no qual está inserido. Boa parte dessas dificuldades está ligada a sua excessiva dependência de modelos e pressupostos estadunidenses e europeus. Diante desse quadro, a pesquisa buscou em pressupostos da Teologia da Libertação subsídios para dialogar com os desafios colocados pelo continente latino-americano à poimênica. Tal atitude é justificada através da constatação desta ser a expressão mais orgânica da teologia latino-americana das últimas décadas e ainda por conservar características e pressupostos que dialogam com os desafios colocados para a poimênica latino-americana. O conceito da opção pelos pobres confere à poimênica a possibilidade de assumir a perspectiva dos grupos e pessoas marginalizadas no continente. O conceito do pecado estrutural possibilita à poimênica a oportunidade de assumir uma postura profética em relação às várias estruturas, sistemas e lógicas que causam sofrimento às pessoas, superando, assim, sua orientação individualista. A pesquisa ainda buscou junto ao método prático da TdL subsídios para pensar e articular pressupostos teóricos e práticos da poimênica da libertação no horizonte da realidade latino-americana e a partir de casos específicos.The Latin American reality, deeply marked by social injustices, conflicts of interests between existing groups, further influenced by the characteristics of post-modernity, a culture of consumption and neoliberal capitalist globalization, challenges Latin American poimenics. The The observation that social and economic injustices affect all dimensions of the human being and these are caused by structures, logics and systems present in Latin American Society calls on Christian poimenics to develop a prophetic dimension which knows how to simultaneously balance caring for the person who is suffering with criticisms and articulations which aim at overcoming the structures, systems and logics which generate suffering. The analysis of the characteristics of Latin American poimenics shows, in general terms, that it is faced with innumerable difficulties to take on the social, political, religious and even cultural context as part of its mission. Its individualist and reductionist orientation impedes it from allying itself to the struggles for liberation which are in progress on the continent. Poimenics easily acquires a palliative characteristic when it isolates the individual from the historical context in which the person is inserted. A good part of these difficulties is due to its excessive dependence on United States and European models and presuppositions. Faced with this framework, this research sought, within presuppositions of Liberation Theology, resources to dialog with the challenges placed by the Latin American continent to poimenics. Such an attitude is justified through the observation that the latter is the most organic expression of Latin American theology in the last decades and it still preserves characteristics and presuppositions which dialog with the challenges set forth for Latin American poimenics. The concept option for the poor confers to poimenics the possibility of assuming a prophetic stance with regard to structures, systems and logics which cause people to suffer, thus, overcoming its individualist orientation.
