This master’s degree dissertation had as objective to analyze the productivity of the work of the Magistrates of the Brazilian Judiciary Power. Its specific objective had been to try to understand the contributions of the Information Technology and the Innovation for the productivity of the work of the Magistrates. The information technology and the innovation have been responsible for the optimization of tasks in the most diverse areas, providing many benefits, from the economy of time in the accomplishment of the activities to the reduction of costs. To verify the contributions of the information technology and the innovation in the productivity of the work of the magistrates the case study was adopted, which had as focus the Superior Court of Justice (STJ). In this direction, the research was lead by means of survey and analysis of data proceeding from documents, the Internet and interviews. Exactly, looking for to recognize which are the tools of IT and which are the innovations placed to the disposal of the magistrates of the STJ for the performance of its function, how the alignment with the strategical planning occurs and to what extent IT and the innovation have made possible the increase of the productivity of the work of the magistrates of the STJ. The inferred conclusions of this study disclose that in fact it has an increase of the productivity of the work of the magistrates of the STJ with the use of IT and innovation.
