Ambas abordagens induzem a participação ativa do estudante por meio da pesquisa. De igual maneira, argumenta-se que a pesquisa tende a ser um movimento no sentido de propiciar a Alfabetização Científica. Este estudo pretende responder a seguinte questão: o que se mostra da Alfabetização Científica em uma turma do Ensino Fundamental ao desenvolver Pesquisa em Sala de Aula? Sobre esse viés, objetiva-se compreender o impacto do uso da Pesquisa em Sala de Aula na disciplina de Ciências, considerando a promoção da Alfabetização Científica por meio de uma Unidade de Aprendizagem. Os participantes desta investigação são estudantes do 8o ano do ensino fundamental, dos quais a pesquisadora é professora em uma escola da rede pública de um município no Vale do Rio dos Sinos. Foram realizados dois momentos de sondagem com estes estudantes: o primeiro por meio de um questionário e o segundo, acerca dos conhecimentos dos estudantes sobre a temática dos Biomas brasileiros. Após a sondagem foi desenvolvida uma Unidade de Aprendizagem, na forma remota, devido ao contexto de Pandemia da Covid-19 seguida da aplicação do mesmo questionário sobre ciência e pesquisa. Esta investigação é de cunho qualitativo e compreende uma pesquisa-ação. As informações obtidas em todos os momentos dessa investigação foram tratadas por Análise Textual Discursiva. No primeiro questionário, emergiram as seguintes categorias finais: a pesquisa como princípio pedagógico na formação do conhecimento dos estudantes; a constituição da ciência como conhecimento na concepção dos estudantes; os sujeitos da ciência na compreensão dos estudantes e a concepção dos estudantes sobre o fazer científico atrelado às motivações sociais. As categorias finais emergentes do segundo questionário foram: a pesquisa como caminho para a construção do conhecimento, tendo em vista a aprendizagem dos estudantes; o papel expressivo da prática científica para os estudantes; a concepção dos estudantes sobre os sujeitos que buscam respostas por meio da prática da ciência e a relevância da ciência enquanto prática social, para os estudantes. Os aspectos da Alfabetização Científica que se mostraram presentes nos estudantes foram: capacidade argumentativa, posicionamento e pensamento crítico, autonomia, exercício da cidadania e aprendizagem de conceitos científicos inseridos em um contexto. Como produto educacional tem-se um Material Textual com propostas de intervenção baseadas nos pressupostos da Pesquisa em Sala de Aula. Pretende-se, com esse material, incentivar a prática de pesquisa com os estudantes, por meio de Unidades de Aprendizagem que promovam a Alfabetização Científica de modo a propor uma aproximação da ciência e da pesquisa no ambiente da sala de aula.This investigation focuses on Science teaching from the perspective of Educating through Research with an emphasis on Research in the Classroom. Both approaches induce active student participation through research. Likewise, it is argued that research tends to be a movement towards promoting Scientific Literacy. This study intends to answer the following question: what is shown about scientific literacy in an elementary school class when developing research in the classroom? On this bias, the objective is to understand the impact of the use of Research in the Classroom in the Science discipline, considering the promotion of Scientific Literacy through a Learning Unit. The participants in this investigation are students from the 8th year of elementary school, of which the researcher is a teacher in a public school in a city in Vale do Rio dos Sinos. Two moments of survey were carried out with these students: the first through a questionnaire and the second, about the students' knowledge on the theme of Brazilian Biomes. After the survey, a Remote Learning Unit was developed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic context, followed by the application of the same questionnaire on science and research. This investigation is qualitative and comprises an action research. The information obtained at all times of this investigation was treated by Discursive Textual Analysis. In the first questionnaire, the following final categories emerged: research as a pedagogical principle in the formation of students' knowledge; the constitution of science as knowledge in the students' conception; the subjects of science in the understanding of students and the students' conception of scientific work linked to social motivations. The final categories emerging from the second questionnaire were: research as a way to build knowledge, with a view to student learning; the expressive role of scientific practice for students; the students' conception of the subjects who seek answers through the practice of science and the relevance of science as a social practice for students. The aspects of Scientific Literacy that were present in the students were: argumentative ability, positioning and critical thinking, autonomy, exercising citizenship and learning scientific concepts inserted in a context. As an educational product, there is a Textual Material with intervention proposals based on the assumptions of Research in the Classroom.
