Resumo: | The increasing demand for food in terms of quality and quantity due to population growth has raised the need for the industrialization of agriculture. As a result, resear chers and companies have developed several solutions that seek to increase efficiency and productivity in the field. In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has found a significant place in the process of agricultural and food industrialization. IoT is a promising technology and is offering many innovative solutions to modernize the agri cultural sector. This is thanks to technological advances in sensors, data processing, computing power, and artificial intelligence that are demonstrating enormous potential to monitor and control farms and crops. These enormous changes are shaping many existing farming methods and creating a wave of opportunities to implement and test new technologies. In the future, these technologies could be the key to improving productivity as well as taking care of the environment thanks to the efficient use and optimization of the inputs used in farming. The research developed in this dissertation seeks to unify several of the emerging technologies in order to maximize efficiency and productivity in strawberry farming through a Wireless Sensor Network and IoT approach. An IoT Platform has been developed to capture, process, store, and display data to the user in an autonomous and intelligent manner. In addition, the platform also features a Computer Vision application that locates, detects, and classifies seven dise ases pertinent to strawberries. The platform uses LoRa technology for communication and data transmission between devices, allowing for extensive coverage and low power consumption. All implemented tools do not require Internet connection as a prerequi site, thus allowing crops in more remote areas. Thus, all functionalities pertinent to the IoT Platform are performed at the edge. |

Sendo assim, pesquisadores e empresas tem desenvolvido diversas solu????es que buscam aumentar a efici??ncia e produtividade no campo. Nos ??ltimos anos, a Internet das Coisas (IoT) encontrou um lugar significativo no processo de industrializa????o agr??cola e aliment??cia. A IoT e uma tecnologia promissora e est?? oferecendo muitas solu????es inovadoras para modernizar o setor agr??cola. Isso gra??as aos avan??os tecnol??gicos em sensores, processamento de dados, poder computacional e intelig??ncia artificial que vem demonstrando um enorme potencial para monitorar e controlar as fazendas e planta????es. Estas enormes mudan??as est??o moldando muitos dos m??todos agr??colas existentes e criando uma onda de oportunidades para implementa????o e teste de novas tecnologias. No futuro, essas tecnologias poder??o ser a chave para melhorar a produtividade, bem como cuidar do meio ambiente gra??as ao uso eficiente e a otimiza????o dos insumos utilizados nas planta????es. A pesquisa desenvolvida nesta disserta????o busca unificar varias das tecnologias emergentes a fim de maximizar a efici??ncia e a produtividade na cultura do morango, atrav??s de uma abordagem de Redes de Sensores Sem Fio e IoT. Uma Plataforma IoT foi desenvolvida para captura, processamento, armazenamento e exibi????o dos dados ao usu??rio de forma aut??noma e inteligente. Ademais, a plataforma tamb??m apresenta uma aplica????o de Vis??o Computacional que localiza, detecta e classifica sete doen??as pertinentes aos morangos. A plataforma utiliza a tecnologia LoRa para comunica????o e transmiss??o de dados entre dispositivos, permitindo uma extensa cobertura e baixo consumo de energia.
