Resumo: Estudo sobre a interseção entre mídia, religião e mulheres em situações-limite com relatos de vitimização e superação. Tem por objetivo estudar como a mídia noticiosa representa a mulher em situações de vulnerabilidade como violência, guerra, prisão e exílio. Mostra como as redes de apoio às mulheres vitimadas, particularmente as vinculadas a grupos religiosos ligados ao cristianismo, judaísmo e islamismo, tanto atuam, quanto são retratadas pela imprensa nacional, representada pelas revistas femininas Fon-Fon (1940-1950) e Marie Claire (2010 a 2015), e pelas revistas semanais informativas O Cruzeiro (1940-1950) e Época (2010 a 2015). O trabalho tem por base três eixos: gênero e violência em situações-limite, religião e superação, representação da mídia em relação a mulheres vitimadas. Abordamos questões de gênero e violência nos universos de guerra e prisão, o papel da religião como expressão cultural e sua função terapêutica na recuperação de uma situação-limite.

It aims to study how the news media represents women in situations of vulnerability such as violence, war, prision and exile. It shows how women victims’ networks of support, particularly those linked to Christian, Jew and Muslim religious groups, both act and are portrayed in the national press, represented by women's magazines Fon-Fon (1940-1950) and Marie Claire (2010 to 2015), and the weekly informative magazines O Cruzeiro (1940-1950) and Época (2010 to 2015). The work is based on three axis: gender and violence in boundary situations, religion and overcoming, representation of the media in relation to women victimized.
