Resumo: The object of study of this dissertation is limited to the production of knowledge about social work and parental alienation; Its starting point is the debate on parental alienation and social service through the production of knowledge, with the CAPES theses and dissertations database being chosen as the database. This proposal intends to consider the main elements present in the production of knowledge about parental alienation and social service. For the development of this work, dialectical historical materialism was used as a method, seeking to analyze and problematize the production of knowledge in view of the demands of parental alienation that affect children, adolescents and their families through the state of the art, as well as to know the main determinations that permeate this refraction of the social question as a dialectical space, immersed in contradictions. Thus, the methodological procedure adopted was state-of-the-art, having chosen to investigate Stricto Sensu graduate studies due to the greater depth required at this level of education and the possibility of accessing the Bank of Theses and Dissertations made available by CAPES. In addition, aiming to analyze the trends related to the topic, the works published in the Annals of the XVI Brazilian Congress of Social Workers, held in 2019, were analyzed. With the analysis of academic production (one thesis, four dissertations and four articles), it was possible to verify that there are ongoing trends in the production of knowledge between social work and parental alienation and that this knowledge has been delineated from what the profession's ethical-political project and the Child and Adolescent Statute advocates, especially in the socio-juridical space. However, it is necessary that this knowledge advance to other socio-occupational spaces and within the profession

Tal proposta pretende considerar os principais elementos presentes na produção do conhecimento acerca da alienação parental e serviço social. Para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho, foi utilizado como método o materialismo histórico dialético, buscando analisar e problematizar a produção do conhecimento diante das demandas de alienação parental que afetam a criança, o adolescente e suas famílias por meio do estado da arte, bem como conhecer as principais determinações que perpassam essa refração da questão social enquanto um espaço dialético, imerso em contradições. Assim, o procedimento metodológico adotado foi o estado da arte tendo por escolha investigar trabalhos da pós-graduação Stricto Sensu em razão do maior aprofundamento exigido nesse nível de ensino e a possibilidade de acesso pelo Banco de Teses e Dissertações disponibilizado pela CAPES. Além disso, objetivando analisar as tendências referentes ao tema, foram analisados os trabalhos publicados nos Anais do XVI Congresso Brasileiro de Assistentes Sociais, realizado em 2019. Com a análise das produções acadêmicas (uma tese, quatro dissertações e quatro artigos), foi possível verificar que há tendências em curso na produção do conhecimento entre o serviço social e a alienação parental e que este conhecimento vem sendo delineado a partir do que preconiza o projeto ético-político da profissão e o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, sobretudo no espaço sociojurídico.
