Resumo: Research carried out based on the book of Ruth and the parable in Luke 18:1-8, with a proposal to establish thematic connections between the narratives, from the perspective of the struggle to guarantee rights for widows. We propose as possible points of connection between the two narratives the confrontation of injustice, women with legal knowledge, the fight to protect and safeguard their lives and that of their families, protagonist widows. The object of the investigation is the knowledge that these three widows - Ruth, Naomi and the Protagonist of the Lucan parable - have of the existing laws regarding their rights, as well as the strategies that enable the guarantee of these rights, seeking not only to obtain survival, but to enjoy life to the fullest. The main problem and question is how widows faced their vulnerable condition. The objective is to investigate and describe the strategies of widowed women Ruth, Noemi and the Protagonist in implementing law and justice in their favor, establishing thematic interconnections and pointing out resonances for today. The hypothesis of this research is to demonstrate that these widowed women have knowledge of laws that support them, to assert rights and justice in favor of their causes. The methodology used for this study was bibliographical research. Biblical tradition maintains vigilant attention and legal regulations to guarantee protection for widows. The Hebrew term almanah means one whose husband has died, and she is in a situation of social and economic lack of protection. The Greek term chéra expands the meaning of the Hebrew term, also referring to women who are not bound by a marriage contract, free women. It also refers to the widow as an individual, but it also means collective of widows. The contribution to the area of Religious Sciences corresponds to an intertestamental study that places two narratives in dialogue through related themes. It also highlights the strategies used by widowed women in their fights for justice

Propomos como possíveis pontos de conexões entre as duas narrativas o enfrentamento à injustiça, mulheres com conhecimentos legais, a luta para proteger e resguardar suas vidas e de suas famílias, viúvas protagonistas. Objeto da investigação é o conhecimento que essas três viúvas - Rute, Noemi e a Protagonista da parábola lucana - possuem das leis existentes acerca de seus direitos, assim como as estratégias que possibilitem a garantia desses direitos, buscando não somente obter a sobrevivência, mas usufruir a vida em plenitude. O problema e a pergunta principais é como viúvas enfrentaram sua condição de vulnerabilidade. O objetivo é investigar e descrever as estratégias das mulheres viúvas Rute, Noemi e a Protagonista na efetivação do direito e da justiça a seu favor, estabelecendo interconexões temáticas e apontando ressonâncias para a atualidade. A hipótese desta pesquisa é demonstrar que essas mulheres viúvas possuem conhecimento de leis que lhes dão suporte, para fazerem valer o direito e a justiça em favor de suas causas. A metodologia utilizada para este estudo foi a pesquisa bibliográfica. A tradição bíblica conserva uma atenção vigilante e um regramento legal para garantir proteção às viúvas. O termo hebraico almanah significa aquela cujo marido morreu, encontrando-se ela está em situação de desproteção social e econômica. O termo grego chéra amplia o sentido do termo hebraico, referindo-se também a mulheres que não estão vinculadas a um contrato de casamento, mulheres livres. Também se refere à viúva enquanto individualidade, mas também significa coletivo de viúvas. A contribuição para a área das Ciências da Religião corresponde a um estudo intertestamentário que coloca duas narrativas em diálogo por meio de temáticas afins.
