This research is linked to the State, Policies and Educational Institutions Research Line of the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (PPGE/GOIÁS). Its theme was the Work of Administrative Technicians in Education (ATEs) within the Scope of the Public University and the Impacts of the Pension Reform, covering the period from 2012 to 2022. The study seeks to understand the disputes and clashes that occurred in this historical movement, considering the multiple determinations of the reforms neoliberals in financial capitalism that impact the lives of workers, especially those in education. The analysis is based on the perspective of historical-dialectical materialism, with the objective of analyzing the precariousness of the work of TAEs and the effects of the pension reform on their living and working conditions. The study revealed that Administrative Education Technicians (TAEs), even those with master's or doctorate degrees, do not receive due recognition, especially in comparison to other similar careers in the public service. This results in wage disadvantages, precariousness, intensification and overexploitation of the workforce. Regarding the Pension Reform, one of the main impacts is that workers will have to work longer and retire with reduced wages, while their families will be left destitute due to the halving of the death pension. This scenario exposes the true face of a far-right neoliberal state that favors capital. The study shows that neoliberalism, as a market economy model, intensifies the levels of exploitation, precariousness and devaluation of workers, particularly in the area of education.
