This work aims to establish the relationship between the expansion of the sugar agroindustry in Serranópolis-GO and its impacts on the archaeological centers, between 2000 and 2020. This municipality is located in the southwest of the state of Goiás, registers large agricultural producers and hosts relevant areas of shelters rocks with cave paintings that make up archaeological collections in Brazil. There is complexity of the expansion of sugarcane planting and of the occupation of land with a concentration of shelters with cave paintings, since these are part of structures that make up the archaeological cultural heritage of the region. This is a descriptive research, with a multidisciplinary theme and content presenting facts and skills as indicative of the archaeological and cultural context of the region being impacted by the advance of the sugarcane agroindustry. In order to highlight the bibliographical sources and those collected in the field, in all the visited archaeological sites, photographic records were made of the physical units of the sites, reliefs, soil profiles, rocky outcrops and landscapes. For the compilation of iconographic works, the collected information was stored in a collection with the photos described and their location established via geographic point (UTM). In the research results, it is observed that the centers of prehistoric occupation have been impacted with the components that received the advance of the sugarcane agroindustry. However, laws guaranteeing the protection of archaeological shelters and their surroundings can establish them as a permanent environmental preservation area without this space being violated
