Resumo: | Objective: With a descriptive and retrospective character, this study aimed to describe an overview of the cases of scorpionism in the State of Goiás, presenting the possible variables that influence the accidents, the authors and most studied themes in relation to the genus Tityus. Methodology: Data were obtained in three ways: a) Web of Science data platform; b) in the notification forms of the Toxicopharmacological Assistance and Information Center of Goiás (CIATox); c) in the medical records of the Dr. Anuar Auad (HDT). The analyzes were performed using R Software and Excel. Results and Discussion: The data were divided into three works, where the first, from the 537 articles on the Web of Science data platform, identified the authors who produced the most, their respective h-indexes. The journal Toxicon is the one with the highest number of publications related to the genus Tityus. The correlation indicates a significant increase in collaborations in scientific production. The second, 18,920 cases were identified in the CIATox files, with the municipality of Goiânia having the highest number of occurrences, with a predominance of accidents in the urban area (69.3% of cases) and the economically active population (20 to 59 years) the most affected by scorpionism. And the third work, where 1,619 cases were treated in the HDT, and most of them evolved to cure, with few cases of complications and deaths. Among local clinical manifestations, pain was the main one and vagal symptoms in systemic manifestations. Conclusion: Toxinology is the area with the highest growth in research when related to the genus Tityus. There is a similarity of cases in both genders, both in the CIATox data and in the HDT records and the prevalence of cases in the urban area, which suggests a domiciliation of scorpionism. The difference in data between SINAN and CIT suggests communication problems between the two systems |

There is a similarity of cases in both genders, both in the CIATox data and in the HDT records and the prevalence of cases in the urban area, which suggests a domiciliation of scorpionism.
