Resumo: The main objective of this study was to functionally analyze the behavior of murderer diagnosed with schizophrenia and were following safety measures in terms of hospitalization or outpatient treatment. For this purpose, priority was given to identifying the control exercised by antecedent and consequent events on the participants' behavior. More specifically, responding under the control of a discriminative stimulus or by the motivating operation. To do so, we started with indirect functional assessment, which involved interviews with participants and family members, direct functional assessment, which consisted of recording their reactions at different times in their routines, and experimental functional analysis with four main conditions: attention, demand, alone and control. The attention condition was subdivided into three subconditions. The results showed that hallucinating behaviors were more frequent in subconditions of attention than in other conditions. It was also sought to consider issues arising from the data found and their implications on non-imputability, legal and practical foundations to broaden the debates and create possibilities for future issues such as, for example, the fragility of expertise and malingering addressed in the complementary study. The results were discussed in terms of functional assessment and functional analysis data, as well as an examination of practical foundations, including posing questions for law, psychology, psychiatry, and justice

Para essa finalidade priorizou-se identificar o controle exercido pelos eventos antecedentes e consequentes sobre os comportamentos de alucinar dos participantes. De modo mais específico, o responder sob o controle de estímulo discriminativo ou pela operação motivadora. Para tanto, partiu-se da avaliação funcional indireta, o que envolveu entrevistas com participantes e familiares, avaliação funcional direta, que consistiu em registrar suas reações em diferentes momentos de suas rotinas e a análise funcional experimental com quatro condições principais: atenção, demanda, sozinho e controle e três subcondições (condição de atenção). Os resultados demonstraram que os comportamentos de alucinar foram mais frequentes nas subcondições de atenção do que nas demais condições. Buscou-se, ainda elucidar questões decorrentes a partir dos dados encontrados e suas implicações sobre a inimputabilidade, fundamentos legais e práticos na tentativa de ampliar os debates e criar possibilidades de questões futuras como, por exemplo, a fragilidade das perícias e o malingering abordados no estudo complementar.
