Resumo: This dissertation investigates the pedagogy of Jesus and Paulo Freire and the contributions that can serve as an improvement to the praxis of teaching. Its object is to study the current teaching practice in the light of the pedagogical process of Jesus Christ and the conscientization of Freire, which aims to verify if the term awareness can influence in the educational making, being an intrinsic aspect in the action of learning. It addresses the pedagogy of Jesus and his educational philosophy, as well as his attitudes, his personality and his way of relating to people, in an invitation to follow him. He presents Jesus as an educator and evidences the richness found in his pedagogical practice in recognizing his performance as a teacher in his time, which has crossed generations. It also presents Paulo Freire's pedagogy and his contributions throughout history, situating him as an educator who fought for respect for the other, in which dialogue was not only translated into a teaching strategy, but into the foundation of the teaching and learning process. Freire emphasizes that praxis promotes knowledge, which is action and reflection, in order to liberate the oppressed man from oppressive practice. Finally, the pedagogy of Jesus and Paulo Freire is approached, evidencing the common elements found in the educational practices of these two educators with the intention of giving clues to contemporary teachers within a dialectical and dialogic relationship, with a view to rewriting the practice pedagogy and rethink the political sense of education. For that, we will use as an investigative method the analysis of several researchers who study the pedagogy of Jesus and Paulo Freire, through the analysis of the Gospels and Freirian works. The intention is that the research contributes to clarify the concepts and strengthen the educational praxis.

Tem como objeto de estudo a prática docente atual à luz do processo pedagógico de Jesus Cristo e da conscientização de Freire, que objetiva constatar se o termo conscientização pode influenciar no fazer educativo, sendo um aspecto intrínseco na ação da aprendizagem. Aborda a pedagogia de Jesus e sua filosofia educacional, bem como suas atitudes, sua personalidade e seu jeito de se relacionar com as pessoas, em um convite a segui-lo. Apresenta Jesus como educador e evidencia a riqueza encontrada em sua prática pedagógica ao reconhecer sua atuação como um mestre em seu tempo, o que, tem atravessado gerações. Apresenta também a pedagogia de Paulo Freire e suas contribuições ao longo da história, situando-o como um educador que lutou pelo respeito ao outro, em que o diálogo não se traduziu apenas numa estratégia de ensino, mas no fundamento do processo ensino e aprendizagem. Freire enfatiza que a práxis promove o conhecimento, que é ação e reflexão, com o intuito de libertar o homem oprimido da prática opressora. Por fim, realiza-se a aproximação da pedagogia de Jesus e Paulo Freire, evidenciando os elementos comuns encontrados nas práticas educativas desses dois educadores com a intenção de dar pistas aos professores contemporâneos dentro de uma relação dialética e dialógica, numa perspectiva de reescrever a prática pedagógica e repensar o sentido político da educação. Para tanto, será utilizado como método investigativo a análise de diversos pesquisadores que estudam sobre a pedagogia de Jesus e Paulo Freire, por meio da análise dos evangelhos e das obras freirianas.
