The Anhanguera Avenue, considered an important urban structuring route of the city of Goiânia, being an axis of connection with other parts of the state of Goiás, crossing the city in east-west direction. The urban development brought changes in its initial characteristics, as transport axis and center of popular commerce in central region of Goiânia. This work aims to analyze the landscape transformation in Anhanguera Avenue in Goiânia and its historical perimeter of the capital and the district of Campinas. By method the morphological studies, aiming the analysis transformations of the urban landscape. The concepts and methods used from english school of urban morphology , having as main reference the definition of morphological regions, founded by M.R.G. Conzen (1907), synthesized by Rosanelli (2011),). The applied method to identify the historical development of the area and the delimitation of morphological regions, inserted in the context of Anhanguera Avenue. The area of analysis manipulated by the Geographic Information System (GIS) program, using cartographic basis from Digital Basic Urban Map of Goiânia - MUBDG v.25. Was possible identify in Central Sector of Goiânia, morphological elements from modern urbanism, and its transformations to present days. The Campinas sector maintains peculiarities in urban fabric, preserving traditional city characteristics. The space between Goiânia and Campinas stands as transition from modern urbanism to traditional city. The landscape transformation in Anhanguera Avenue and Campinas brought changes to local logic, since it allowed the articulation between the new capital and the neighborhood, as route of connection where the predominant uses of commerce are retailer and popular. The analyzed factors and agents led the current condition of space, such as the transition from Anhanguera Avenue in a mass transport axis. The change in the uses of the Central Sector and removal of the central flowerbed of Av. Anhanguera led visual and economic deterioration with the insertion of new dynamics, modifying the landscape over time.
