The main objective of this master's thesis is to address the importance of the Right to Disconnect in order to mitigate the harmful effects of hyperconnection and hypervigilance imposed by the digital age, which undermine various fundamental rights of workers and severely impact the work environment, an issue of extreme importance for the entire community. The study will be developed in light of technological developments and changes that have occurred in the Four Industrial Revolutions; the concept of the environment, discussing the aspect of the work environment and its relationship to health; the risks to fundamental workers' rights generated by modern forms of monitoring; and the Right to Disconnect as a fundamental right in contemporary society. The topic is justified by its growing relevance in the workplace, especially with the inevitable advancement of technology and the possibility of constant communication between employees and employers through modern technological tools (hyperconnectivity and hypervigilance), resulting in the violation of several fundamental worker rights, such as health, limited working hours, leisure, privacy, and work environment. To this end, the research approach is carried out using the deductive method, based on national and international bibliographic research, as well as the regulation of the Right to Disconnect in foreign legal systems and also in case law. In conclusion, based on all the information acquired during the academic research, the importance of this right for the Work Environment will be addressed, since the adoption of the Right to Disconnect policy, with a clear distinction between the employee's professional and personal life, contributes to a healthier professional, fulfilled in their work, and therefore more productive. This is an issue that concerns not only workers, but the entire community, emphasizing its diffuse and collective nature
